Hard Rock Stadium -what a trash experience

I've been to several road games.  I feel like if the Bills trounced Miami, all these negatives would have been brushed under the rug as no big deal.

SDS, although I agree with you the experience leaves something to be desired as I’ve been to more Bills/Miami games than I care to admit, as living in Tampa, it’s also not horrible.  In many ways, Jax was worse for the Bills/Jax playoff game in 2017.  I used to go to Miami every year was during the drought.

 

What was disturbing was the play of our loved team.

I have been to Miami twice (2014 TNF & 2016 post reno) sat 300 and 100 level. I think overall it is fine and the stadium does its job while not spectacular. The game in 2016 was hot but the canopy covers 92% of seats and once we had cover it was fine. The sound quality is very blah as it echoes badly in there, if Miami ever gets good they will have a good homefield advantage with the noise. The concourse was fine just very basic and I could see better TVs but idk is what it is. 

 

Like others have said they def cater to their richer clients like most teams so the standard is what it is. They could probably spend 300-400 mil to update some areas and it would be better but I doubt they do it. It is a Miami home game and if you have issue with the fight song... welcome to being in another teams stadium. Believe it or not opposing fans do not enjoy singing the Shout song at Highmark... I know ground breaking detail here haha.

We got in and out with parking fairly easily, buying a parking pass in lot 41. 
 

Concourse was average.  I thought it would be wider after a remodel, but it was fine.  The AC was appreciated.  I like all the open lounges with bigger TVs.  
 

What annoyed me was the home side luxury seats.  I talked to a season ticket holder who told me he used to sit on the home side, but was kicked out when they remodeled.  The seats became PSL. When he declined, they game him first dibs for anywhere else.  Basically, just a big money grab that displaced long time fans.  The sections was more 60% empty.  Seemed like a waste of space.  
 

Also, why did they not build the option to fully close the roof.   One fan said people pass out from heat stroke all the time.  I know it’s an advantage to have the opposing teams in the heat, but if it’s affecting the fans like that, it’s terrible.  
 

Even with the clouds covering the sun most of the game, I was drenched in sweat for a November game.  
 

Like the new Bills stadium, and all other NFL stadiums being built, the fans are an afterthought unless you have money 

Dead center in the end zone, 300 level lower rows. It except for the anthem, I’m not lying when said I could not understand a single word that was said for the rest of the game. It wasn’t hyperbole. Sounds like your audio experience was better.

 

Although it was a little warm sitting so close to other people, I’m not sure I broke a sweat. I did look at all of the blue jerseys sitting in the bright sunshiny area behind our bench and I thought to myself, “idiots.“ 😅

i’m sorry that’s what you took from my discussion of the fight song. It was done poorly. Embarrassingly poorly.

 

even if you separate the terrible audio issues I was having in the end zone, it was still done poorly.

maybe you’re unaware that for years the military paid NFL teams to put on military shows that misled people into thinking these were organic patriotic celebrations. It was often dubbed paid patriotism. Now, although it’s no longer paid, like everything the NFL does, it’s just performative. 
 

Regardless, the game day experience for me from start to finish was terrible.

Is God Bless america at halftime, especially when we're honoring veterans. After thinking about it for a few seconds, this is one of the worst list of complaints. I've ever seen about anything.

1. While the park-and-ride was nice, when we got to the stadium it was awful. Makeshift scaffolding everywhere. Parking lot right next to the stadium 40% empty. No energy, nothing going on.

 

2. The only televisions in the concourse were little 32 inch screens above the heads of the concession stands. Not on the wall, the were literally just above their heads.

5. The replay guy was incompetent. 50% of the time there was no replay. Then there were some of the biggest moments of the game like they stopped to point conversion and instead of replaying a goal line tackle they played phins in the community instead. Holy hell is that incompetent.

 

6. why are there four large screens in the corner that show exactly the same thing? What a complete waste of screen space.

 

7. The field was dark. There is actually so much of coverage of people in the stands that the field is poorly lit. It was even worse for me because I wore my prescription sunglasses and it was dreadful.
 

8. The military propaganda machine was in overdrive.

 

9. God bless America sung at halftime? Who does this?

 

What an awful game day experience. Absolutely dreadful. The NFL should be ashamed. Stands to reason why that team doesn’t have any fans anymore.

I’m honestly treating Bills road games like an excuse for a vacation. I’ll tailgate and watch the game at a bar. I hate opposing stadiums. I’m a pretty big boy (not cocky, just facts) but I don’t want to have some loser opposing fan do something dumb.

Yeah I thought it was a joke of a stadium/experience. Will all the temporary fencing/scaffolding/barbed wire, I wondered if they used the stadium as a jail Monday-Saturday. It was a Maze getting in and out
