I just don't enjoy watching Bills games like I used to. They're wasting one of the great QB talents of all time and there's something sacrilegious about that.  Here is the franchise that managed to lose 4 straight Super Bowl games (I agonized over each and every one) then spent 18 seasons in football purgatory which was awful to experience and now maybe their greatest sin in wasting the prime years of a QB like Allen.

I've always said that regardless of how these guys come across in the media, you don't get to where they are in the NFL if you don't have massive egos... In a way I think McD has been living off the drought breaker and Beane has been living off the Allen pick their entire time in Buffalo. And of course they have had good moments along the way because neither is incompetent, and they both have Josh Allen... But those early successes gave them this idea that they had it all figured out. And they did not, and do not. They're both smart enough to be humble in public most of the time, but Beane let a little of it out in the WGR interview after the Draft.

I have a ton of respect for both guys... I really do... But at this point I just think it's stale... And a lot of the damage has been done. Nothing is is unfixable... It's not 0%... but I think a fresh set of eyes and ears and a new approach is needed now. It was a good run. B-)

They def lose to Philly and Tampa. The script is out on the Bills. Besides, both of those teams are much more complete teams than the Bulls.

Lol, doubt it

ESPN shows Bills as 5.5 point favorites against TB. That's insane.

Bettors are down on the Bucs too. and people remember Buffalo winning nearly all their home games in recent years including roughing up the Chiefs.  Vegas has to get action on both sides.

Ever since the 13 seconds game, I haven't been able to rally around the team as "special" or "our year" until last year. I thought we would beat KC in the AFCCG and win it all. At this point, and after so many crushing seasons since JA's rise, I'm just actually exhausted. I'm tired of it all. My dad had seasons from 1980-2008ish, and during the 4 Superbowl losses. When I came onto the scene and was old enough to start caring and wanting to watch games circa 2000, he would rather mow the lawn. Never wanted to watch or care that much about "the bills signed "x" guy!" ( I would exclaim). He lost that desire to really truly care, because of the heartbreak and losses. I'm kind of at that point, pure exhaustion.

TLDR: I'm exhausted and finding it really hard to care anymore.

I’m a little older than you (43) but today gave me the realization that these idiots aren’t worth me getting worked up over. One of my cars has a license plate ‘go bllz’

why did I even spend money on that s$$$?

I turned it off mid third quarter when it was clear nothing was going right and started working on dinner for the family

Like you, I find it exhausting and though I would love nothing more than a championship, it’s clear that I’ll never see it

that said, ‘ go bllz ‘

Well I put money on Tampa bay to hedge my bets

If the bills win, money well spent

if they don’t, I still win lol

There’s definitely a new and worrying trend this season. We really suck bad on the road and if we went to Denver, Indy, or even Chargers, we are probably done. I would probably prefer Denver.

We'll probably win.

The Bucs really aren't that good, and we'll be at home, coming off a brutal loss.  We're not as bad as we showed today.

It will be fool's gold that will get us somewhat excited again.

We definitely could lose both. We would be in some serious trouble at that point. A few weeks ago it was all about the #1 seed and now our fans are hoping for a wild card. We aren’t a team that could do much damage as a WC.

I understand completely. Buffalo sports are so draining. All I want is to share a championship moment with my father while he is still on this earth and it feels like our greatest hope is slowly being wasted away

When the Sabres made the Stanley Cup finals, I remember Tim Russert, legendary national talk show host, say......."If the Sabres win the cup, senior citizen homes in buffalo will empty out because now they can die in peace." I don't remember the exact quote, but I think that's close. A bit insensitive, but fair. I know a lot of folks have passed away just wanting one championship. My brother included.

Sums it up for me.

The drought was crazy. And I really stuck it out w/ this team during those years.

This is supposed to be our reward for that.  Getting a QB like Allen is something every fanbase dreams of.  And we're just wasting it.

It's too much, for any fan.  I don't like how I'm feeling right now.  I don't like what this game does to me emotionally.

The only question that remains for me is whether I really have the capability of walking away.  Can I just do something else on a Sunday, without checking my phone for scores all day, and not even checking to see if we won or lost?

Probably not. It's a horrible addiction.

It won't be easy for me but I suspect that Friday night football and Saturday's can go a long way towards satisfying my football addiction. I have toyed with getting Buckeye season tickets near where another lifetime Bills fan has his at the Shoe (we both graduated UB and came to Cincinnati to work). he's getting fed up with the Bills to.

To be honest I couldn't walk away as long as the Bills were making the playoffs.  But this year I was at my grandsons 7th grade football game listening to the Bills/Saints game on my phone.  In the 3rd quarter I was so disgusted with the Bills struggling to pull away from the woeful saints at Highmark that I shut the phone off and watched the kids game.  I figured if the Bills won great but if they lost to the Saints I didn't want to hear it.

As an aside how do you think those tens of thousands of Bills fans who took over Atlanta and Miami's stadiums feel?  They spent serious dollars to go to games that the Bills on paper should have won. how disappointing was today's loss?

While I'm rambling I'll throw out one more observation.  Some will think that we're being drama queens here and overreacting.  But how have the last 6 seasons really been different from the drought years?  Yea I get we're now making the playoffs and we weren't during the drought.  But given how every season ends in almost the exact same way it seems like all we're doing is serving a life sentence in football purgatory in a much nicer hotel then we did during the drought.

I find myself wanting a SB victory in part so I can be done watching football. Sounds weird, but I cant just walk away with it unfinished, but I also hate the ups and downs and fruatration that goes along with being a fan.

Feel the same way

I say we lose to Philly , Texans and Pittsburgh making the New England game for a playoff spot

We are not going to Foxboro and winning there, not this year. The Pats have 2 weeks to prepare for that game and they are finally winning and want to rub our noses in it. The division is theirs unless Maye gets hurt. Diggs and Mack will be even more pumped than the game earlier this season.
