It reminds me of when I used to play goal competitively in hockey.  When I knew I had a bad team in front of me, I tended to not play my game and try to do way too much because I’d be so worried if we got behind, we would lose.

I feel that’s how Josh is thinking the game right now. There’s no room for error so you got to do it all yourself.

How many times today did Allen keep the play alive lookking for open receivers. Man this team whiffed: Samuel, Moore, and Coleman all garbage. Yes, the kid had a TD today but sometimes a blind squirrel gets a nut.

Why is there so much ***** rotation with the WRs? Seems everyone has a ***** route tree of 2 to 3 routes. Shakir included. WTF is Shavers on the field so much? Same can be said for Coleman but I get it, he’s a high pick. Part of the reason guys can’t get going is because they are only used for a few things. It’s on tape, every ***** team sees it.

We rotate cornerbacks…..this coach is a ***** idiot. Backups are backups for a reason. They are worse. Let’s voluntarily get them on the field as much as possible. Exactly zero other teams do that. “Fresh legs” this isn’t the NHL. Why do we do it? Our coach is clueless

yep and NE keeps winning and u cant say that roster is that much better than this one (healthier maybe)

It’s not.  Just game plan correctly and execute come January. Thats all that matters when it’s all said and done

Right now, regardless of what is going on this season, the pats have just about every advantage imaginable over us going forward outside of the fact that Josh is marginally better than Drake Maye... But even that advantage is nerfed by the pats offense being more efficient, better called...at least consistently, and more talented around the QB's... The pats are also the younger team and arguably the more hungry... So...

A mid level QB with above average receivers would probably have us undefeated right now, so yeah. Not looking too hot.

It’s a week to week league

Agree and we are not out of the division race yet.  Twice in the last 5 seasons we have been further out of first place at this point in the season as we are today.

But here's the ugly truth about what this loss and the NE win tell me about the future:  we MIGHT squeak out one more division title but while Josh Allen will be a better QB then Drake Maye during the next 5 years the gap will not be that big.  But the gap between the Patriots Head coach and McD will be wide as a chasm.  The Pats will also be a much better run operation then the Bills.

And week to week you get this/Atlanta or something resembling competence

This team is mid

When it plays like this and is banged up like it is, this team is worse than mid.

get healthy and clicking come January.  Then deliver.  We’re better as the underdog.

A high school coach would look at our WR and say "what the ***** do you want me to do with this? "that's on the gm. He needs to go. Our coaches are worse than high school coaches. They need to go. This team has not improved in years.

Right, the problem is that this rarely happens. Statistically it will happen at times, yes, but not enough for us to succeed and plan a proper passing attack. That's kinda the whole point.

Beane failed the team. Again.

Since McDermott is untouchable I support firing Beane if things don't go well yet again in the playoffs.

I've said this since Week 1.

Let Beane go and you give the new GM full control, nobody knows what McD controls exactly with roster decisions.

But you give new GM ability to fire staff, and McD 1 year to see if roster changes help.

McD is a great defensive coach and leader, no matter what people wamt to say.  Player talent is lacking, injury or otherwise.

Offense needs to find a playcallwr. outside the organization, who is capable of running a balanced attack.  Brady is 90% run game and little creativity/ability to scheme open pass routes.

I have a hard time believing No one is open , I  would like to see video evidence on the contrary

I am with you. There were a handful of times there were some underneath options I thought Allen passed up. Guys were covered up too. And he missed a couple. OL wasn’t great. Play calling lacked creative ingenuity to fabricate space and touches. It was just a complete failure by all.

So annoyed at the "we should beat them so let's rest players who could play and not show anything' mentality of this team in these games.

In the game week thread so many posters wanted guys like Palmer and Taron and Benford on the bench for this week because it should be a cakewalk.

Divisional road game guys. It was gonna be a dog fight with all of our starters.

And it sure doesn't help when McDermott decides to throw in the white towel with 40 seconds and 2 TOs in the 1st half on 3rd and 5. Why the %#$ aren't you trying to score there when you have Josh Allen at QB and Miami has no TOs????
