No you're just hating on the bills on the threads

That proved it I said exactly what I said

Josh Allen does have the most deep completions in the NFL since 2022 out of any NFL quarterback

If you combined all of mahomes deep ball completions for those 3 years less than Allen

If you combined all of burrows deep ball completions for 3 years less than Allen

If you combined all of Herbert's deep ball throws for 3 years less than Allen

That's not AI that is statistical tracking.. you're wrong

You can nitpick my grammar all you want cuz that's the only thing you got but Josh Allen does have the most deep ball completions in the NFL since 2022

I backed you up with Grok. People just don't like the truth I guess.

idk he just set his career high with 3 Touchdowns. Kelce has 3 touchdown games

Kelce has been Mahomes go to. We've had this "everybody eats" philosophy. Completely different offenses. I am also not trying to say Kincaid is as good as Kelce. In fact, I specifically said he wasn't. You don't need to be as good as Kelce to be considered "not sucking."  Its like saying Goff sucks because he isn't as good as Mahomes.

Really interesting take.  He points out that the Bills have developed a much greater capacity to run the ball, which takes pressure off Allen.  Bills need to stick to formula to pound the football and not turn it over.

On Allen and the receivers, several interesting points.  He points out that Allen's completion percentage is up from 2024 from 63.5% to 68%, and YPG up from 219 to 222. Biggest difference is he is taking more sacks and committing more turnovers.  As to receivers, defenses are playing soft man-to man coverage and giving receivers large cushions that no receiver can just blow by and go deep, but there is lots of underneath stuff there. He points to a third-and -1 where Allen throws to Coleman immediately for a first down as defender is over 5 yards off the Line giving Coleman big cushion.

He also points out Allen's footwork and accuracy sucked in the first half, and Trubisky is looking like a more competent backup.

Prognosis is that Bills/Allen still not playing great but certainly can if they stick to formula. Allen just needs to play a bit smarter, but the game against Carolina in second half was a good step forward from previous weeks.

Behind BN paywall.

When we remove the Baltimore game everything is worse.

Kincaid lines up in the slot and even out wide some (approx. 68% of his total snaps). When he's inside, he's still frequently running routes. There is not a huge difference in his case.

But even if you want to insist on making this distinction without much of a difference, the reality is that he's still a significant part of the passing offense that Beane invested in, and he belongs in all these conversations about the passing game. Except, no one pushing the no receiving talent agenda ever acknowledges this and it's super disingenuous.

Ok, count him as a WR if you want, take his very best season, he’s still mediocre.   You are excited about a guy with less than 700 yards and a 9.2 YPC as a difference maker?  Let’s get real.

Well I agree he was always projected as a slot who could occasionally line up outside. He has developed

nicely of course but he's pretty much the same player type as he was in college.

Same type , agreed.

But for me he exceeded expectations. Kudos to the Bills staff and Shakir for his growth.

Imagine if we had a true X type for contrast  lol

I thought we were talking about offense. When Allen does well the offense does well. With Allen and this run game we're automatically a top 5ish offense. But some of us believe we need to be the #1 offense to win a championship. That caliber of offense isn't possible with this WR room, period. I want Allen to have the capability of performing at his absolute best because that's the only way we're going to win it all. We've had three games this year where we needed the passing offense to be at its absolute best on critical drives, and they delivered on one out of those three. That's not good enough. We can talk in circles all day about how Kincaid technically qualifies as a WR or whatever else, but at the end of the day this offense hasn't gotten it done when it needed to and that's directly tied to the receiving weapons.

It takes a little bit more to go all the way. An offense , as mentioned above , like the Eagles who can change up their attack weekly.

I just do not see this Team , as configured to go all the way to the Promised land.

 pessimist ? A little.

Josh is considered to be the best QB the Bills have ever had but Kelly was still a better deep ball passer. Back when Josh was a rookie he worked with Jordan Palmer who really improved his throwing motion and mechanics and it really seemed that deep ball throws would improve. I think this part of his game never evolved since. Had Dabol stayed I think he would have challenged Josh with a more complex offense and we would have seen this part of his game get better. But Dorsey and Brady after him, seem to be scared to try.

we can't ignore how the long ball looks in Bills practices either, if it not working succesfully during the week why use it on Sunday...but a surprise stretch play with a max protect call on say first down or second and short should be dialed-up at times...

WGR AM show brought up an interesting point yesterday...historically thrwoing the long ball (touch, loft, accuracy) has not been one of Josh strenghts...a point I have made over the years as well..partly his fault, partly the WR issue...resulting the OC play-calling not having confidence in that play and talking himself out of it ??? flame on...

I have 2 words for that supposed weakness - John Brown

Was there any separation today?

From the WRs? No. The TEs, yes. This game was exactly what our offense has to look like to be successful - pound Cook, quick passes to Shakir, TEs get most of the downfield targets. Moore splitting the safeties was nice to see but let's not pretend that is suddenly a cornerstone of our offense. The WR problem still exists but we can overcome it if our preferred game script goes exactly right.

BTW, Allen hit TEN different receivers with today!

But yes, the WR problem was on full display today. Palmer can't get back soon enough and Bean really does have to pull the trigger on a WR.
