I always liked Gabe, i just felt the 13M AAV he got in free agency was not a good fit with what his ideal role is with a team.  Like an outsized price for a WR2/4.

Agreed.  He can be a WR2 in a pinch (he lines up on the LOS, he blocks well, tracks deep balls well), but it shouldn't be the plan.

Noone hated Gabe.  He wasn't an unlikeable guy.  He is a decent NFL player.  Nothing spectacular.  But could be solid running certain routes.  Was excellent toe tapping on the deeper balls by the sidelines.  Not the guy who is going to catch a slant and take it to the house, because he is far from twitchy.  But can get downfield and seems to have good body control.  Doesn't have great hands.  But is serviceable if used correctly.  

 

The only time I was pissed w him was two years ago when he seemed to run the wrong route late in the Philly game when he would have been wide open in the endzone if he had broken the other way. 

 

For a 4th round pick, he has been solid.  He understands being an NFL WR.  I don't think Coleman has any of those innate qualities.

Everyday for lunch in high school, my depression era stepmother made one slice of bologna with French’s mustard and two slices of Wonder Bread. Haven’t had bologna since, other than of course metaphorically on this site.

I think playing as a WR3/4 he can be pretty effective. Maybe like 4 targets per game. We know he can run the scramble drill effectively with Allen.

 

A small part of me thinks Dorsey was also a big problem with Gabe. He just couldn’t execute all of those option routes. It led to a ton of interceptions. Brady’s offense isn’t like that at all.

 

So simpler offense + smaller role should at least give a little boost. Maybe he can have a 2024 Mack Hollins type of season if he’s healthy enough.

Brainrot edits. The more random, the better. The audio also has to be so loud it clips. Gen Z finds it funny. My kids are 20 and 22 and they show me these all the time. FWIW, they think the Bills social media team is genius.

Im happy to see Davis back and hope to see him on the field sooner rather than later with Palmer out.

 

But - we may all want to curb the expectations a bit.  When he was here before, he was opposite Diggs.  Now he is opposite Keon or Palmer when he will be in the game.  Not the same thing.
