Bockeye Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I was a big Coleman fan knowing players on FSU and what they said about him. Eating crow now - he looks like a WR4 currently. Hopefully he improves. I believe Gabe is def an upgrade at this point, esp with his connection with Allen previously. All this being said, it’s insane we have not traded for a WR. We should be willing to part with a #1 or 2 pick given Beane’s failure at drafting. Meyers, Olave, Shaheed have a much better chance of contributing than Beane’s pick in rd 1 or 2 next year. I’d also throw in that, normally being optimistic about this team, we absolutely do not look like a SB team. Every nay sayer picking this team apart is correct on their takes. To not even make it to the SB with Allen is travesty at this point. 3 Quote

Can't keep his 3 routes straight, clap catches the football because his hands are too hard to do otherwise and now he has a bum knee to boot. I will say that he does kinda' know how to find open space in a scramble drill which is apparently a trait that eludes most of the more able bodied WR's they have. Might have been wrong way, but at least he was open lol. 3 minutes ago, snamsnoops said: This is our BIG signing, j SMH, Thanks McBene! He was already signed (to practice squad) weeks ago. This is really the only optimistic part of Gabes return - is the only guy here at WR who seems to know what to do on scramble drill is Shakir, the others not so much. And at least Gabe should be better at that. But as I said earlier, hard to get excited about Gabe when he was so inconsistent before when he had Diggs on the other side of the field. Now he has to get open with Keon on the other side instead - not the same thing. Not to mention also coming off knee issues... Edited 22 hours ago by Alphadawg7 1 Quote

Last time Gabe was on the Bills, Bills fans ran him out of out of town on a rail by screaming expletives at him from the stands. Now we want him back. Weird How did anyone “run him out of town?” he got a massive FA contract by another team. 2 1 Quote

Davis Coleman Moore Shavers WOOF Likely Davis isn't activated this week. Looks like he just hit the field and they're bringing him along pretty slowly. But hey, I was wrong about Hairston being activated, so you never know. Considering the amount of teams in on Shaheed and Meyers, getting a trade done before the deadline was unlikely. Even if we had, it's still no guarantee they would have played him on just a couple days in the building. But we're in on Shaheed and Meyers and that can still happen. 1 Quote

kitchen sink Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago What would the feeling be like if we have a repeat of the 13 second game with Gabe Davis getting four touchdowns in the playoffs against the Chiefs in Kansas City, but we win this time? 2 1 Quote

The Bills signed him knowing he wouldn't be ready for several weeks to the practice squad and stashed him on the injured list. Not sure what you are trying to get at, but it doesn't really make much sense. Ok that's where I was confused a bit. It wasn't making sense to me about the whole activation part. So did they have to sign him and then put him immediately on IR? Does a player go right to IR? I'm not "trying to get at anything" it was a sincere question. I haven't followed the whole Gabe Davi's thing as I never really thought he'd see the field. And you're right trying out was the wrong wordage. Visiting was correct. 1 Quote

Yes, similar to that...IR is only for players on the active roster. There essentially is a practice squad version of that called Practice Squad/Injured where they can be put and they don't count against the PS roster until they are activated from it. Follows the same rules as IR where they have a 3 week ramp up period where they are allowed to practice prior to being activated but unlike the IR, they don't count towards your limit of 8 IR activations per season as someone else pointed out upthread. He's been in the install process and team meetings for months. If he's been a FA, he would now be starting that process. Thanks. Yeah I didn't realize he was signed and directly to IR. I don't recall that happening. Someone made a redeem w to signing an injured player the other day and got roasted for it. This sounds similar to me I guess. Hey ya learn something new. I've not been following the whole gabe Davis thing as I haven't really believed we'd see him on the field. 3 minutes ago, Big Turk said: Yes, similar to that...IR is only for players on the active roster. Wow. This has totally gone over my head and I thought I was pretty plugged in. Thanks I appreciate it. Quote
