I honestly think we're in a situation where the cap mess is so bad that Beane is hesitant to give up any asset in the draft due to the relatively low rookie salary structure.

they have tried for years to make minimal moves and be a team that drafts and resigns their own… and they still right in the same spot, good team because of Allen primarily but not good enough to even make the bowl much less win it

We dont want to make a trade but our OK giving guys like Samuel and Palmer $10M. We are ok trading a 3rd round pick to move up 7 picks in the 2nd round. But a 4th or 5th for a guy that can help this year is too risky...
