Took a while because the front office focused on building defense. 
 

That Pats draft last year was all offense. 8 draft picks, only one spent on defense; a CB in the 6th round.
 

16 FA signings in the same year were geared to address the receiving core and offensive line. 
 

This year?

Their first 4 picks in the draft were dedicated to the offense. An OT, Center, RB & WR. 5 of their 11 were offense. (5O/5D/5ST)

 

15 signings in FA to the offense. 
 

 

Now to note, a lot of the signings aren’t key players or have been cut but the attempt is there. 
 

They saw they had a potential franchise guy and seemed to go after talent to put around him in the draft immediately the following year. You’re now seeing the fruition of it. 
 

Vrabel and Bellichick being defense guys makes more sense… if you’re a guru or aficionado at something, you shouldn’t need the best ingredients to make it work. 
 

Seems like the right thing to do.

Draft offense. Buy proven defense.

I dont know about that. The Bills were 10-6 in year 2 and 13-3 in year 3. The difference is more about Vrabel and the coaching staff plus the Pats dont have a ton of awful contracts. Many of us want to forget the Bills were handing out ~$10M/yr contracts to guys like Star, Mario Addison, Trent Murphy, Quinton Jefferson, Vernon Butler, AJ Klein, Josh Norman...wait this sounds kind of familiar

What kind of stinks is that the team that has kept every other AFC team out of the SB besides the Bengals is now not even leading their division. So, they might not get home-field or even win the division, which means they will need to be on the road for the playoffs...maybe. 

 

Buffalo has had that Chiefs roadblock since 2021, and that season Buffalo had the #1 overall defense and a top-five offense. Three in points, five in yards. Lost in OT to you know who...

All overpays, all replacement level players.  Just like beane, a replacement level gm.

Shaheed is who would be most realistic, and would help Josh and Bills passing game the most, is so obvious to all, even non Bills Mafia.

 

I stand my my prediction, if Bills add Shaheed, and stay healthy, they are winning the Super Bowl.

Yeah that didnt work out right.... g2 say what a dumb slip up whoever leaked that "we were done with Cooper" clip leak.  I know its not the end of the world, but that kinda thing can hurt relationships with other teams, and more importantly gives ZERO UPSIDE to let that out.  Not to mention, youre the Browns lol not exactly killing it.
