Haha McDermott is not shy throwing people under the bus though. He literally threw Joe Brady under the bus last game against Atlanta and even after the patriots game. And also, Saying he called plays isn't throwing Babich under the bus. He's just stating a fact Edited 16 hours ago by BillsFan130 1 1 Quote

McDermott, right or wrong, has never been one to publicly shame other coaches or players. The thing about Babich is that by all accounts from players/coaches and those in the know is that Babich is actually an excellent coach. But coaching players and calling a defense are two separate skills. It's ok that he can't call the plays as long as McDermott recognizes that and takes over. It happens a lot in the NFL. 3 4 1 Quote

Aaron Glenn could be interesting . Detroits d played well, did have some rough games when banged up under him. I very much like the 'hot coordinator-> failed HC --> Coordinator. Guy was good at the job your hiring him for, got some valuable experience as HC, go through struggles. Sad about HC, but then get a chance to go back to a more limited/focused role. Usually their first love. Huge morale bump there. Not in love with Glenn as much as that concept ^^^. Who else? Quote
Charles Romes Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Like Parcells said, when you have two defensive coordinators, you have none. 1 Quote

And openly said he talked to Joe Brady about the lack of use of James cook in the 4th quarter against the falcons. If that's not throwing him under the bus, I'm not sure what is 1 Quote

I'd take him in a heartbeat but I'd be shocked if the Jets let him go after 1 year. (deservingly so) Bills passing attack is still lacking, but I do think Brady did a better job playing to Buffalo's strengths vs Panthers Edited 16 hours ago by Figster Quote

Well based on the quotes he gave on Joe Brady that I listed, is that not throwing his offensive coordinator under the bus? Quote

Bangarang Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Whatever they did worked today. Babich probably isn't here next year if McD feels the need he has to get involved. 1 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago That's fine, we need to stop over reacting to that. Frazier, a long time HC/DC, was a terrible playcaller. Babs is super young, let McD "work with him." McD is a great defensive playcaller. 1 Quote

Unfortunately our defense has performed poorly during his stint. Quote

In real life, did McDermott suggest anything he did personally contributed to either the Falcons or Patriots losses. He seems to have this very passive agressive way of blaming others. Quote
