It was close but also it was obvious that he didn't make the 1st down.  The camera angle was perfect and if you extend a plane down from the ball it would not have touched the 41 yard line which was the line to gain.

Had the not reversed what was an obvious bad spot by the refs things would have gotten very interesting in the Motor City.

Agree as Detroit challenged the wrong thing.  What is the rule about if you challenge X and they see a clear cut Y?  I thought, but could be wrong, that they only looked at what was challenged and if they see something else they are to ignore it?

Did they use the chip technology? I had to step out for a few and missed it..

Wait they can change the purpose of the challenge?

My best guess is that NY corrected the spot of the ball and the refs basically said as a result, there's nothing for Detroit to challenge. They basically just wasted all our time for nothing.

While Detroit doesn’t have all their D talent on the field, they make up for it with tremendous effort. They are hustling to the ball like crazy

Okay here is your challenge rule explained;

Rule 15, Section 2, article 2

“Once a review is initiated, all reviewable aspects of a play (Section 3) may be examined and are subject to change, even if not the specific reason for the challenge.”

And why they announced it twice:

Article 4. Each Ruling Reviewed Separately

Any aspect of a ruling that is not changed will be considered a correct ruling for purposes of reviewing the play.

Baker Mayfield was pretty bad tonight

Yeah, credit to Detroit's defense stepping up and making some plays but this is maybe the worst Baker has played as a Buccaneer. It's mostly just boiled down to him being very inaccurate tonight.
