ryguy101 Posted yesterday at 05:19 PM Posted yesterday at 05:19 PM Justin Fields was benched after starting 6/12 for 46 yards with a 59.7 rating. Tyrod Taylor was put in and was 10/22 for 126 yards and 2 INT's with a 25.9 rating. What are the Jet's options? Their season is pretty much effectively over... 0-7 HOWEVER they have a few winnable games coming up (Browns and Ravens) Justin Fields? Meh... 4 TDS and 0 INT on the season? Maybe Tyrod Taylor? Iffy... Played well against the Bucs earlier in the season but I don't know if he can play a full season Who's on the market? Taylor Heinicke and Tommy Devito What do you think?? 2 Quote

947 Posted yesterday at 05:23 PM Posted yesterday at 05:23 PM I'm sure they're content to just lose all or most of their games & get a top-3 draft pick. They'll continue starting one of the turd QBs they have, doesn't really matter which one. Quote
FireChans Posted yesterday at 05:25 PM Posted yesterday at 05:25 PM Aaron Glenn picked the wrong QB by a mile. Justin Fields is quite possibly the most horrific passer of the football I have ever seen with this many starts in my entire life. He’s a physical specimen and makes like one great play a game, enough to sucker in the next NFL team to give him a chance. Matt Eberflus deserves a retroactive coach of the year nod for winning 7 games with this dude under center. I would rather start Deshone Kizer off the couch next week than Fields. @Kirby Jackson I know he’s your boy, but he’s a trash can. He is quite literally getting Aaron Glenn fired by like week 7. Give me my flowers! 2 2 Quote

A reported suggested the possibility of benching Fields and Glenn was incredulous. 1 Quote

If he’s good, great, if he sucks and you lose a million games, well, that’s where they are anyway. Who were the Jets competing with to give Fields $20M AAV???? 1 Quote

Albany,n.y. Posted yesterday at 05:40 PM Posted yesterday at 05:40 PM If they play Tyrod, they might win some games that will cost them the top pick. The last time the Jets won a meaningless game they drafted #2 & picked Zach Wilson, who Miami just demoted to 3rd string. If the Jets want a decent future, tank the season elevate Brady Cook from the practice squad & play the undrafted rookie. Quote
Gregg Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM They should bench both Fields and Taylor and let Brady Cook start. See what he can do. If they lose it doesn't matter as their season is over. Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM They should keep playing both these guys for another 10 years! Keep Glenn to. 1 3 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted yesterday at 05:45 PM Posted yesterday at 05:45 PM Hmmm, 'Justin Fields benched' is a bit like '3 week old rotten chicken declared not good to eat' 4 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM I’m still waiting for Tyrod to throw a ball from back when he was on the Bills. I’ve kept that scream going for many years now. It’s in my front hall closet. 2 Quote
frostbitmic Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM Shake up this locker room ... Mitchell Trubiski for Sauce Gardner. They need a QB we need a CB ... Git er dun 1 Quote

Give me my flowers! I’ve always liked Fields. I ranked all of the starting QBs on here prior to this season. I had him at 28. I more liked him from OSU than as a pro (although I didn’t think he would struggle this much this year). He looked functioning the last couple of years. Quote
thenorthremembers Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Justin Fields is the end result of someone thinking Terrelle Pryor would have been a good quarterback in the league. He's made 33 million dollars to play QB in the NFL, and he still has no clue how to play QB. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted yesterday at 06:06 PM Posted yesterday at 06:06 PM I didn't think Fields was a terrible choice when the Jets announced him. But he's proven to be horrendous. Maybe its the Jets culture, I don't know. 1 Quote
