Frank Reich with them in 96 and Tyrod this year.  Just something I find ironic.

Both strong parallels in that they are/were both at their end of their careers but still serviceable as a strong backup QB type.  And they gave their teams the best QB option on the roster those years.

Out and about yesterday was listening to the postage show… I’ll say Tyrod is the ultimate professional

Ultimate professional?  Well he's still taking paychecks, I'll give you that.

He has 15 starts in the last 8 years on 4 different teams and won 6 games.  Longest stretch was 6 games in HOU: 2-4 5 TDs 5 INTs.

I would pay a stronger backup....

Hmm I think you forgot Ryan Fitzpatrick spent a season there or two.

0-7 and look what they have coming up.

at Bengals

Browns

at Patriots

at Ravens

Falcons

Dolphins

They could very easily be 0-12 going into the Dolphins game.

What is the point of playing Fields or Taylor. At 0-7 it should be Brady Cook time. At least see what he can do.

Agree. And that what a smart coach would probably do. But Aaron Glenn is proving week in and week out that he's not a very smart coach.

Justin Fields should consider changing positions. He's no QB in the NFL

Jets played Bills tough.  The game was closer than the final score.  But that’s probably the best the Bills have played.  Very sad, it’s like 2005 all over

which game are you talking about?  Surely not Week 2 of this season?

If a backup QB was a good starting QB, he wouldn't be a backup.   The best backups can come in and maybe win a couple of games for good teams when their starters go down for a few games.  A backup QB replacing a crappy starting QB on a bad team (like the Jests), is doomed.

there are different strata of backups to achieve that.  TT is on the lower/lowest level as a backup. If he was a better backup, he wouldn’t be a backup on the Jets

This is an absurd take. The Bills beat them by twenty, outgained them 2:1 and had a 2:1 edge in TOP, ran for 225 yds, held them to 54 yds passing, and did it all with a preseason game plan. The only reason it wasn't a 30 or 40 pt win is because from the 2nd Q on the Bills started burning the clock because the Jets never had a chance.

The Jets are a horrible team.  Cook had a great game.  I remember the game differently.  Besides 4th quarter Ravens, that’s the Bills best win.  They were off the first 3 quarters of Ravens.  Bills played great the first half of Jets game, and second half intensity slowed down.  Bills have looked off ever since imo

I was thinking Brady Quinn for a second and I was like "he's still playing"? Then I took a second look
