For all that was done on the defense the team ranked outside of the top 5 on defense 2 out of 4 years from 2019-2022. Then there was the lackluster 2021 and 2022 playoff performances and I think Frazier despite being a good coach was just done.Ā Ā I think it was the right call for McD to move on at that point.Ā Canāt disagree with that. It is something to have a top 3 defense for three out of his final four seasons here though.Ā Ā In 2024, 10 of our top 17 contracts were defensive players and 2 of our top 3 draft picks to that side of the ball.Ā Ā This year, 10 out of our top 18 are defenders with 7 of our 9 total draft picks going to the defense.Ā Ā His final 2 years: Ā 2021, 10 out of the top 17 contracts were defenders. 2 of our first 3 picks defense.Ā Ā 2022, 11 out of the top 18 contacts and 4 of 8 draft picks.Ā Ā Ā That has more to do with Beane and Sean than it ever did Leslie imo. The defense as a whole is getting the same attention and doing less.Ā Ā Would be interested to see about the FAās acquired during those 2 year windows with and without him.Ā Quote

He also finally fired Frazier after 2022 and then moved on from the ST coordinator after two seasons. He should take over or be "heavily involved" in play calling on defense this team invested far too much in the off-season to have a defense this Mediocre. McDermott did not fire dorsey. The team did. The captains and the offensive players pretty much told McDermott fire him or lose us. He did notdid immediately fired him after that meeting and you can see that in that Broncos game that we just looked uninterested.Ā Ā And to those who dispute me, those who say that I am not telling the truth in making this up or it's some rumor. Fine go ahead and believe it but I can promise you this is legitimate straight from the locker room.Ā Ā The players have openly rebelled to McDermott several times questioning his leadership. 1 Quote

No one fears Buffalos offense. Ā No one respects Buffalos defense. Ā Roster is not good enough. Ā Thatās on Beane. Ā He better improve roster quick. Ā Players are undisciplined, too many penalties, pitiful tackling, lousy coverage, canāt stop run, lazy routes, not winning your 1/11th. Ā Bad body languageĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā 1 2 Quote

BillsFooteball Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Iām really concerned about defense as well but if we have any reason to be worried facing Dalton then throw in the towel now. Steptide Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Kinda surprised at the amount of people concerned about the defense. They definitely have their woes, but man, I need to see something offensively. Our offense was down right terrible against Atlanta. Bills had 2 good drives all game, which resulted in 14 points. The defense kept us alive in that gameĀ 3 Quote
