Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

Doesn’t have to be an X or a number one. I want someone who can win downfield that’s going to occupy the other teams top CB, or force teams to shade coverage his way

Again, all for Shaheed, but I think what this team really needs is a viable outside WR1.  And while I entered the season optimistic on Keon based on his camp, the reports of how different he looks, the work he put in, etc - the reality is that the Bills still are not using him properly, and the role they use him in is not getting the job done.  

 

I don't think there are many realistic trade options even available for what the Bills need.  But if I am Beane and truly going to see if I can go find an outside lead WR, I am calling the Bears first to check DJ Moore's availability.  Outside Moore, the only other WR1 that is probably a realistic target in terms of being available and the team willing to trade them to the Bills (Wilson is never being traded to the Bills for example), is Olave, and he doesn't have a good catch rate in any year of his career regardless of his QB.  He would still be an upgrade, but I also would not want to over pay for him either as I don't think he is good enough to over pay for.

Brady has pissed me off plenty, but we need a WR this year and following years anyways, lets at least see what Brady can do with a #1, not a cast of #3's.  If he cant make it work, than our new OC(staff?) will have a WR.  I'm going all in for Jordan Addison, he'd have 2 years after this.  Call them up and ask them what they want, name your price.

 

We saw what an old, half retired Cooper did for us just with his reputation/presence.  Lets get a young stud in here that wants to win and wants to show he's a #1.  Give Josh some help.  The only way were winning anything is on Josh's talent.... so wasting resources on the defense is not viable, and has shown its not.

 

Help the guy who can make it happen.  Hell, go win a SB and then see what type of HC you can hire.  You think nobody would be lining up for that job?!?

Don't get me wrong - we desperately need more talent at WR...it's just that Brady is probably not going to find ways to scheme him open or get the ball to him enough. His entire playcalling philosophy is completely off-base.

Metcalf and Pickens being available this past offseason and Beane sitting on his hands is so frustrating. That talent is not available often.

I don’t know much about how he is doing in Dallas, because I don’t want the Cowboys much. But I loved him in Pittsburgh. The guys raw talent just jumps off the screen.

Dallas has worked wonders for him. 1) because CeeDee is injured and 2) he’s in a contract year after getting traded.

Are those his Pitt stats? Wouldn’t surprise me. He has been dealing with awful quarterback play his entire career until Dallas. Last year he played with Fields and Wilson.

Absolute stud. In a previous post it’s understandable how he became a headcase in Pittsburgh. 
 

Would see nothing, make one or two catches; one of that type of quality you linked, and then back to nothing. It wasn’t like Pittsburgh had insane talent at that position too. I think many would be lead to frustration if they produced stuff like that then were given nothing for sustained periods. 
 

Someone mentioned him being a headcase like Antonio Brown and Diggs. I can see it but in the right circumstances where he is THE guy, I think he contains himself and shows some decorum.

There is a whole ton of passes to Diggs in his final year here where he was wide open and the ball was either under thrown and caught preventing a TD or bigger gain on a more accurate pass, or flat out missed for an incompletion or interception.  

 

You will be hard pressed to find someone who loves Josh more than me, and I do think he is the best QB in the NFL.  But I can still be unbiased about his strengths and weaknesses, and his deep ball placement is not the best part of his game.

What the Bills need is everyone to get healthy, and that includes the 6'2'' WR named Gabe Davis, who is on the practice squad.

 

Then they need to utilize James Cook more than 53% of the offensive snaps. For the love of god, put him out wide for a mismatch on an LBer.

Gabe wasn't really the answer when he was younger and healthier. This team needs to trade for a WR that commands respect along the outside. Use Keon in the slot more, make Palmer a pure WR2, and open things up for Kincaid and Shakir.
