We need to do something for sure. I think if we had all our WRs healthy a case could be made that Gave Davis would be our top WR. That's absolutely bonkers. 

 

What's going on with him anyways? I know he's rehabbing from the torn miniscus, but there have been no updates at all. If only we had people in Buffalo sports media that would ask questions rather than basically ask Sean "So, what do you want to talk about?"

Marcus Mariota was the number two overall picking the draft who had great athleticism and work ethic and accuracy and he didn't even work

Diggs was an offseason departure. Not midseason as you recall. 
 

Short of the Browns blaming Jeudy for the reason they are awful (he’s not), there’s no reason to trade him this year.

This is the second time Russini has reported Olave is not likely to be traded. If true that really dampens the market for us. We could still try to get Meyers or Ridley but I don't know if either of them move the needle enough.

Yea I’d rather just take our lumps this year than trade away anything for Meyers. And the Titans may have to give us something to take Ridley that is how bad and injured he has been this year…plus I don’t think we can fit his contract under our cap without renegotiating it.

 

Olave and the Saints sure seems like they are both committed to getting a deal done based on some of the interviews when they ask Olave about it and these reports.  BTJ has been rough this year, but just having him out there would make teams respect the deep passing game. Sounds like it would be pretty expensive though.

 

For Safeties, seems like the free agent market may be the best way . The Rams are deep at Safety so maybe they would move Kam Curl or Quentin Lake.

Probably means Saints won’t move him for less than a 1st

Meyers might not be a flashy add…but the guy has 4 consecutive seasons of 800 + receiving with questionable QB play

 

 

I wonder if DJ Moore could be moved? Not sure of contract details

 

Jerry Jeudy and Jordan Addison could be other players I’d guess we’ve checked in on

 

Ridley…what does he have left + contract?

 

BTJ weary of him looking scared to be hit. Unlikely Jags move him for less than 1st

Chris Olave sounds like he's out. But you never know if that's posturing for better compensation. But with the news that they've been talking about an extension with him and he's been receptive of it, I tend to feel that's true. My take has always been that the only way it happens is if he's rebuffing their overtures. 

 

The interesting part of this to me is that they haven't said Rashid Shaheed is off the table. To me, I've been all in on the idea of making a deal with the Saints. If you can't pry Olave free, pivot to Shaheed. His speed, separation, and deep threat prowess would provide just what we need to get people from crowding the line and shutting us down.

 

I'd be more in on Shaheed than a lot of the other options people are pivoting to in this post.

3rd for Shaheed looks like is the starting point. I wouldn’t be against it but would also be interested to see what the price is for BTJ.

Yea no reason for them to trade him for less. Based on Jameson Williams contract (similar stats and tenure) they are probably looking at a 3rd or 4th round comp pick the following year if they let him walk in Free Agency anyways.

I think it's absolutely bonkers with the glaring need at WR that the local media isn't badgering McDermott or Beane for updates on Gabe Davis. Complete radio silence on his rehab.
