Is it just me or have Pats fans replaced the Dolphins fans for the most delusional in the division? They are swearing that they have a shot at the division. They believe Maye is in the conversation with Allen.

They have taken steps for sure. They’re still an 8.5 underdog. @HappyDays provided an interesting way to look at spreads last week. The Pats are +350 to win the game. The Bills are only +336 to win by 20.5!! There are levels to this.

Yeah, they are a good team and I think they're going to keep getting better under Vrabel.

But I also think the Bills have been laying in the weeds for three weeks eyeballing this matchup.

I expect to see our A game Sunday night and if we do, they are not ready for that.

Things I’d like to see this weekend;

1: Henry under 3 catches and 40 yards

2: NE RB by committee under 90 total yards rushing

3: Maye under 170 yards passing

4: The WR who shall remain nameless under 4 catches and 35 yards

5: No NE ST TDs

6: JA17 at least 1 rushing and 1 passing TD to break Newton’s record

7: Cook 100+ yards and a TD

8: 3 or more sacks by DL

1. Gonna be hard

2. Could probably do that

3. If oyu get 2 you're not getting 3

4. Gonna be tough because he'll demand targets in this one

5. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!

6. This will happen

7. This will happen

8. Don't know about that one. He's pretty quick

I'm thinking about moving the spread to bills -9.5

I think it will be a hard fought game that pulls away in the late 3rd/4th quarter

At some point, the Bills are going to play a good game. We haven’t seen it yet. We have seen flashes but not dominance. They’ve kind of been sleepwalking for the last few weeks. This week I expect more urgency. This is a great opportunity to put the Pats back in the corner.

Vrabels ceiling is a 10 win team. Maybe 11-12 if the football gods give him a good schedule and he doesn't get his guys injured.

11-12 wins are not going to win the division unless somehow they beat the Bills twice.

Fans are usually like that, but they're at the next level.

And the recurring theme is that once they "complete the rebuild," they're re-take their rightful place atop the division moving forward.  As though while the Bills have Josh Allen, they'll be no challenge.

Too much success can delude a fanbase at a concerning level.

They have no shot at the division unless Allen loses a hand in a bowling incident.

But they are good enough to steal a game if you come in with half a playbook looking to get young guys reps as if it's a glorified scrimmage, which they've been doing for a the last few weeks.

Sunday night at home against their only division rival? The boys are geeked, McD opens all the ammo cans and the Pats get a reality check.

Honestly, I think they have one of the better rebuilding projects going on in the division and they seem like they have a good QB to build around.

Vrabel has given this team fits in the past when he was with the Titans, and they always had respectable W/L records but could not get over the playoff hump. It is not like he is not familiar with what this team likes to do on defense and our tendencies. I don't think he has had a lot of exposure to Brady's offense and a more mature Allen so we will see.

I don't like the guy (residual Patriot bias), but he seems to be one of the few players/coaches from the Belichick tree that may actually have the juice to stick in the NFL as a coach with some success.

I was speaking overall in the next 3-4 years.

Vrabel only had success against us because he had Henry. I think he’s a good coach, but he doesn’t have a Gold Jacket running back, he’s got fumbling Stevenson. Vrabel is also a colossal dick head, and he’s going to FEED Diggs big time, so we should be prepared for that. Remember their attempt at the Home Run Throw Forward play with the Titans? I hate all things Pats*, I don’t care that they’ve been an afterthought for years. Biggest bandwagon fans in the NFL, you haven’t heard a PEEP from them in 5 years. Now all of a sudden they’ve got a QB with potential and it’s like Baby Goat all over again. I hope we put up a 50 burger on them and run up the score.

I don't love how they've been drafting so you could be right.

But the guy is smart for a meathead and does seem to have a knack for gathering players that do it how you're supposed to do it.

Oh I think that they are in a nice rebuild. They’re a WC contender. Vegas still has it more likely that the Bills win by 20 than that the Pats win. They aren’t a contender to win the division like their fans are starting to think. The Bills are -1800 to win the AFCE. While the Pats have improved, the gap between the 2 teams is still massive.

Vrabel scares me.  Always has, always will.

Ugh just flipping around and ESPN2 is airing the Bills at KC AFC Championship game from last January. So frustrating listening to the players mic’d up.

Mayes 2025 numbers are akin to Allens and the Pats schedule isnt tough - Saints, Browns, Titans, Falcons the next 4 post SNF.

Pats are a disciplined crew.

I am not sure where this comes from. I think people like to assume Vrable has changed

this team into some very well coached squad. I am not saying they haven’t improved but in comparison to the bills they are still severely lacking in two major categories that I’d classify as the indication of disciplined:

Penalties and turnovers. So by that metric, we are far more disciplined on average through 4 games in 2025
