mike22nc Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I’m not concerned with Vandermark at RT, but I’d love to see Grable be healthy and get a start at some point. The staff really seems to like him and I want to see it live. He’s likely ready to come off IR after this week.

Good teams force players to earn their spot no matter where they were drafted. Bad teams give players spots based on where they were drafted rather than how they are performing. 1 3

He didn't earn that spot and you can't convince me you did. Perhaps you can make an argument that Hamlin earned his way out of the position but that doesn't work for me.

boyst Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Curtis Samuel looks to be returning punts in warm-ups 2

notpolian Posted September 28 Posted September 28 This is the tryout for waiving Codrington when the PED guys get eligible IMO. When they drafted 3 DL, I figured that one would be a possible standout, one a contributor, and one a bust. So far, Walker is the standout / high potential guy, Sanders the contributor, and Jackson the bust. But it's very early in their careers so you never know how things will work out in the long run. 2

It’s a day 2 pick on a stacked roster with almost no roster position battles. Why did we pick this guy if he’s not even good enough to be active? It’s a month into the season. Let’s see what he has. Why do we constantly do dumb ***** with game day inactives They do it just to p-ss you off,

His return ability has to be elite to make up for the fact he cant contribute on offense or defense. Thus far he is not and has made some mistakes. If Samuel can field punts Codrington is waived for Hairston. 1 1

He has played pretty well the last 2 weeks...I think you may be a little biased based on what happened the first week. Clearly there was a reason he didn't play much last year after coming back from injury. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what we feel he has "earned" or hasn't "earned". None of us has observed every practice, been at the facility to see him in meetings, in the weight room, studying film, etc... Considering the secondary, and especially safety, is a key position on D and that McD will not put players in he doesn't feel like he can trust, it would lead me to believe that he has seen enough of what he needs to see that they are going to let him learn on the job for a bit because he has demonstrated that he can be trusted enough in their eyes. BillsfaninSB Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Bummed about Jackson. Would have really liked to have seen some real reps. 1
