Seems like a quality young man. Hope he continues to progress as the season goes along. Here's also to hoping he knocks the snot out of Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Drue Tranquill, Leo Chenal, and George Karlaftis. Especially Tranquill for that cheap shot right hand he hit Allen with last year.

Hawes looks like Wood's younger brother.

Wow and in this picture Woods looks like Dale Jr and Blake Shelton...

I really like him. His blocking is insane and he's caught some important passes so far as a rookie. I'd love to see him get used in the pass game more as the season goes on. His TD play was great when he took out a defender and then caught a TD. Looks like a great pick by Beane.

This video is great

Awesome kid! If he continues to block and play hard (which I fully expect him to), I think I'll get his jersey sometime soon...

I don’t think ever gotten as excited to watch someone block and see what’s going to happen.

He blocks like an OT.  Remember that Jason Peters started out as a TE with the Bills before switching to a more lucrative position.

I never knew that

Realistically Jason Peters was a jumbo tight end who most scouts had as a projection to tackle

The bills basically used him as a 6th offensive lineman tight end the first year.. while playing special teams

Then the full switch to tackle.. but I think Jim McNally always had that project in his mind

Loving Hawes allowing Brady to be more heavy and multiple with 12 and 13 and 22 and maybe even 23 personnel...happy to see them progress beyond the 6OL looks, despite how effective they were out of that package. Heavy personnel and condensed alignments are very much en vogue imho, and Hawes helps the offense to be more physical and more unpredictable.

Hawes went to…. Oh never mind

GT is one of the most electric teams in the nation to watch!! Cupcake schedule hurts them this year, but they've got some nice W's.

Haynes King is that duuuuude!!!
