BillsPride12 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Tourney kicks off tomorrow. Should be an excellent spectacle. They are speculating this to be the most rowdy and loud golf tourney of all-time. I have some friends that have played Bethpage Black before and it is a beast. On my bucket list to play there someday Anybody else here watching this weekend? 1 Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I would ordinarily be glued to it, given what late September weather can be, but considering the weekend is going to be amazing, I’ll want to take the boat out for what could be the last time this season 2 Quote
Augie Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) Golic & Golic (or whatever it’s called) just had an interview with Notah Begay that was pretty entertaining. They wanted to know how far the New York hecklers could go, and were told it’s a giant gray area, so we will see. They got my interest for sure. . Edited September 25 by Augie 1 Quote

Sunday's round will be awesome for sure but I didn't want to miss out on the rare 1pm Sunday Bills tailgate for the Farewell Season either. Busy busy weekend 1 Quote
eball Posted September 26 Posted September 26 (edited) Watching it now. I find I like more of the Euro golfers than the Americans, and these days I’m feeling very little national pride so I’m just rooting for a tight match that is exciting on Sunday. Edit: I do feel some local pride for Chapel Hill product Ben Griffin and hope he has a good tournament. Edited September 26 by eball 1 Quote

Southern McButterpants Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Have it on in the background - again Team USA has no clue about Alternate shot and getting off to a good start on Friday morning - they do this EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 1 Quote

I find many of the American players to be very unlikeable. That those guys continually come up small for their country doesn't help either. Quote
BritBill Posted September 26 Posted September 26 It’s simply amazing sport verging on theatre. Gladiatorial. Quote

Mike in Horseheads Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Our stars never seem to show up for team golf. 5.5-2.5 at home is a disaster Quote

Draconator Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Is it fair to say Keegan Bradley may have gotten in a bit over his head? Quote
BritBill Posted September 27 Posted September 27 7 hours ago, EmotionallyUnstable said: Is this even an advantage? Nope. The American crowd is doing the same thing it was doing 20 years ago and there’s nothing initimadting about it. The European players are seeing and hearing exactly what they prepared for and expected. I don’t think it’s over. The US team has too many good players to let the tournament get away from them but they really do need to turn around their foursomes game today. Not sure how I’m going to break the news to the missus I’ll be sat watching golf all night tonight as well as football tomorrow night. This may be the last you hear from me. 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Rory is such a baby. I don’t get how anyone can like this guy. 2 Quote

The kind of crap being spewed at him, including yelling as he’s starting his swing, is another. He and his teammates are kicking ass. Hindsight is 20/20 of course but picking Morikawa was a bad move. 2 1 Quote
