Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Hopefull this is a fun topic for early in the week. There are so many amazing players in the NFL now. Generational talents in many cases. These are the players that I think will be first ballot HOF in no particular order. Decent mix of offense and defense. Zach Martin retired this year so he is not on the list but he is first ballot HOF for sure. I feel like I am missing other OL and DBs. Josh Allen Patrick Mahomes Aaron Rodgers Derrick Henry Mike Evans Lamar Jackson Bobbie Wagner Fred Warner Trent Williams Travis Kelce Chris Jones Myles Garrett TJ Watt Cameron Heyward Joel Bitonio Too soon to tell but have a really good chance Penei Sewell Ja'marr Chase Justin Jefferson Patrick Surtain Several young QBs that have a lot to prove yet Probably need to wait until year 2 of eligibility Matthew Stafford Lane Johnson DeAndre Hopkins 3 Quote
T.E. Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Good list. Stafford is going to retire with insane stats; I think he gets in on the first go-round. Already top-10 all-time in yards and TDs. 3 9 Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Put Stafford in on the first ballot. He was in Detroit for so long. Goes to Rams and wins wins wins. A Super Bowl MVP would have looked even better though. He might still get it. 1 1 Quote

Might depend if he and Rodgers retire at the same time and they opt for only one QB. 1 minute ago, chongli said: Saquon if he has a few more good years? Great talent. Too many lost years I think. RBs need so many carries and yards to get in the conversation. 2 Quote
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Teams of this era have feared Reid Ferguson’s long snapping on punts so much that they prefer to let the Bills score. He’s in. 1 8 1 Quote

billsFORlife50 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Quenton Nelson probably going first ballot, not brought up quite as much for a bit as Colts are lost before Danny Dimes came in but he’s been dominant every year he’s played so far. 2 2 Quote
NewEra Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) No Shaq Thompson? I think Bitonio and Hayward could be 2nd ballot. Possibly Evans. add von Miller 💯 Saquon and maybe Nelson. good list Ethan 👍🏻 Edited September 23 by NewEra 1 Quote
qwksilver Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Good List! I am not sure about Dhop as WR have taken a little longer than expected. A few other posters have mentioned other great choices. I often wonder about non-players as well. Edited September 23 by qwksilver Quote
WeckMonster Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Fun topic. Depending on when guys retire there may be heated debates and snubs. Only 4-8 get in each year. 1 Quote

I would put him more an a Kyle Williams level player. Super important to fans though. The biggest one you left off was Mike Evan’s. EDIT: I missed it 🥲 sorry 13k yards within the next couple games, 106 TDs, and still playing at an elite level at 32. If he plays another 3-4 years at his current rate, he could be top #2 or #3 in receiving yards all time. Pretty crazy how overlooked this guy is. He has the stats and credentials to back it up. Saquon and Nelson get in though also probably not first ballot. I actually think Lane Johnson could be a first ballot guy if I was moving someone up. 2 Quote

Excellent. Yeah he is dominant. Some really amazing guards of late Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Lane Johnson goes in on the first ballot. Bitonio and Hayward have to wait. Von Miller is 1st ballot. Khalil Mack and Saquon could sneak in on the 1st ballot. Jalen Ramsey has a 1st ballot resume. Calais Campbell probably waits but he too could go. 1 Quote
mannc Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) I am not sure why it matters whether someone is elected on the first ballot, or whether there is a real distinction between a first and a second ballot HoFer, but Nick Bosa has a good chance of making the HoF… Edited September 23 by mannc Quote

Heyward is 4 time All-Pro and Walter Payton Man of the Year winner. I think he is a lock for HOF. Not as dominant as Donald was during the same era but Donald is probably in the conversation for top 3 DT of all time. Quote
