Who were your top 3 players that made a major impact in the victory and your 3 major disappointments....  (for me I am not going to include Allen... because.. well just because)

Up

Cook - dominant performance, allowed us to balance the attack and control the clock, inches away from breaking a couple

Hawes - outside of the one play he got blown up by the Tackle was a pit bull blocking, caught the ball when he needed two, and enabled the 3 TE set we ran

Bernard - yes yes interception, but the rest of his game was great too couple big tackles and was a general menace

Down

Groot - complete invisibility, limited production, to date not earning his contract... hope he shakes whatever off...

Keon -  c'mon man you gotta stop dropping footballs in critical situations...  some nice catches... but too much left on the table for a guy who we need as a true 1

Whoever is responsible for our tacking - giving up the amount of 3rd and longs we did is really not sustainable if we are ever to go 20- 0 lol... just do better...

Neat concept

UP

  1. Cook- He's showing why he is worth every penny.
  2. Kincaid- Continuing to look more like he did his rookie season
  3. Bernard- Looked more like his 2023-2024 self. He wasn't bad at all during the Jets game but this game he made a bigger impact outside of the massive INT.

DOWN

  1. Groot- He had a solid game setting the edge against the Jets but looked invisible.
  2. Tre White- Got burnt a few times, not tragic but he certainly got picked on more.
  3. Keon- A couple of drops just not didn't have much of an impact on this game.

In Tre's defense, there are only a handful of CB's who can keep up with Waddle and Hill in man cover situations. Benford got beat a few times himself.

I think this is true... you literally need to give them space or they will kill you down field... but tre was about 15 yards away on multiple occasions not sure if that is speed or cutting ability... I am hoping he is still recovering and his ability to react will get better.

Up:

1. Cook

2. Kincaid

3. Elijah Moore

Down:

1. Tre

2. Groot

3. TJ Sanders

First off the pass rush sucked all night.  They didn’t get close to an immobile QB against a bad offensive line.  Ironically they performed better against a mobile QB and a decent OL the week before.  I’m hoping the potential is there and I do think Ed Oliver will help.

Tre White was horrible.  Babich made the perfect call with a corner blitz on Tua.  Tre had him dead to rights and just whiffed.  Plus whenever Tua needed a completion he looked to Waddle in 1V1 coverage against Tre.  At this point, I think they look to work in Strong and eventually Harrison.

TJ Sanders looks like a mix between Boogie Basham and DeWayne Carter.  That’s not good.  He might as well be the invisible man

He also missed a sack on Tua on 3rd down which would have given Buffalo the ball back before the half.  That could have changed the game.  Tre didn’t play well

TJ Sanders - with a little bit of John McCargo

I am not ready to write Tre off. It is one of the better WR tandems in the league and one of the fastest. But it seemed like Tre was picked on more so than Benford.

My biggest gripe with White is not that he couldn't cover Waddle on a short crosser across the formation, while avoiding a rub,  very few DBs can even in their prime. It's that he came in as a free rusher on 3rd and 12, had Tua dead to rights and did not play under control to ensure he made the play, allowing Tua to easily avoid him, roll out left and hit Hill for a big 3rd down conversion. I'd expect that from a rookie, not from a pro's pro like White. That was inexcusable.

They need to give a 2 series a half to the young guy to keep tre fresh.

He ran out of gas.

The other thing I would say in defense of Tre but really the secondary, the pass rush was legitimately non existant....  I dont know if that was the 2ndary being really bad, but what i saw was that tua had a ton of time back there...

and he escaped to his left, which is NOT what you want when facing a left handed quarterback

So much of how badly our CBs were beat is on McD's scheme. We played Tre waaay off of Waddle most of the time, even when they were inside the 5yd line. I know McD does it to avoid getting beaten deep, but Miami will just complete a short pass every time & run for another 10+. Soft Zone & Off-Man are exactly what Miami wants you to play against them. McD seems to be the only person who can't comprehend this.
