I won't disagree, but I don't have any numbers on it.  It might be Allen not being accurate.   It might be that the Bills don't have good enough receivers.   It could also be that the Bills don't throw long as often as some other teams.

I would be shocked if the Bills trade for a WR before the deadline unless there is a significant injury to one of the WRs currently on the roster, and if they did make a trade, I can't see them using a first or second pick.

how often do you think other QBs complete passes over 40 yards

I don't know how  often other QB's complete long passes but as few as I've seen Allen complete, I have to think others are higher based purely on observation.

Could it be due to Allen's receivers, it's possible, but I've seen Allen over throw, under throw, miss to the side and by a fair amount.   So makes me more think it's on Allen.  That's the one part of his game he still may have issues with, but that's OK.   Even when he had Diggs best years or a speedster like Brown, he still struggled some.

I'm sure there's been a couple since, but the last long pass I recall Allen completing was around 96 yarder to Gabe Davis, against Steelers.  Recall the quote from Hyde afterwards, he said he was getting ready to put his helmet on to go play defense.  That was exactly what he ended up doing except it was after a kick off, not a punt.

But I'm fine with  the 20 to 25 yarder which he is is very good with.

Agee too with you @SoTier, unless multiple long term injuries, Bills are fine with their WR/TE group and definitely are not trading a high draft pick.  The only thing bringing in a top WR will do is give less attempts to others.  Allen isn't going to complete 50 more passes, maybe he has 10 more and the rest of the team has 40 less as there's only one ball to go around.

I do often wonder if the over/under throw factor is the wide receivers in play not doing him favors in tracking and adjusting routes etc…

If the passes were consistent in all over thrown or all under, I could see it being on the WR, but they are all over the place so hard to fault them.

I like winning comfortably. I dislike things being tied in the second half or worse we are trailing. Get me to a nice 2-score lead by halftime and I’m good.

I’m really hopeful that beane can snag a speed outside wr before deadline from one of the bottom feeders. Trade a first trade a second. It’s gotta happen.

Cuz we’re not drafting one

Hill is available !!!

Our passing offense is absolutely atrocious!!

We have a small undersized slot receiver and Kincaid!

That's it !!

Where is our deep ball passing offense ???

41,30,31,31. Offense is fine. Cook has been running very effectively and that is one of the main reasons Allen's passing yards are down so far. But 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the division, 3-0 in the conference. The Bills have things to work on that they can improve on but overall, there is really nothing to complain about.
