ChronicAndKnuckles Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Is it me or were they continuously shorting the Bills on the spot of the ball ? The biggest one that comes to mind is when Josh slid directly on top of the marker and the referees decide to spot the ball a full yard behind it. There was another really bad one in the Red Zone as well. I feel like this is becoming a trend since Kansas City last year. Having headquarters in New York quickly change the spot seems like an easy fix. In a game of INCHES, I feel like the NFL should put more emphasis on this problem. 4 11 1 Quote
Success Posted September 8 Posted September 8 It's not just you. And it started w/ that 4th down in the KC game last year. That 1st down Josh made was clear & obvious. Maybe they didn't have a great angle, but that could have been a game-changing spot if we hadn't won. 1 Quote
transient Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Allen has been robbed of 3 first downs in 2 games by this crap... 1 7 Quote

Kincaid had already gotten the first, then Allen got the first AGAIN, and somehow neither counted. That crew shorted us on spots all night. It was maddening. Football really is a game of inches at time, refs shorting us an entire yard in key situations is getting really, really old. 1 6 Quote
Bruffalo Posted September 8 Posted September 8 The refs being bad at their jobs is probably the least shocking thing to me in the universe. It's a constant like gravity. 1 Quote
boyst Posted September 8 Posted September 8 was going to bring this up but hadn't in all the static. that was a horirble spot. fireable offense. 1 Quote

I blame our coaches for not challenging... that was egregious. 1 1 1 Quote
dorquemada Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Plus the whole video analytics to determine if the ball was past the line, but still letting the smooth brain refs place the ball is exactly backwards. Place the ball with computer vision then bring out the chain gang. It's a matter of time before we're doing all officiating that way, and just let the refs announce the calls 2 2 Quote
transient Posted September 8 Posted September 8 In general I'm wary of AI taking away jobs, but it can't come soon enough for NFL officiating. 1 1 1 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 showing the replay after and having Terry be like "yea they spotted it wrong" WHY IS THAT NOT IMMEDIATELY REVIEWED AUTOMATICALLY "SKY JUDGE" 4 Quote

All it does is once the ball is spotted it tells them if it's a first down or not Quote

It’s time to let technology handle certain things. Most importantly, the spot of the ball. Put a chip in there and be done with it. It’s not just because the Bills got shafted. I wouldn’t want my team to win on a terrible spot either. 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) Shakir was spotted short on that crazy josh flip pass when it looked clear he got the 1st down. He landed on his butt and the ref inexplicably marked it back a yard as if his knee hit the ground. That was a bad crew. Edited September 8 by BuffaloRebound 4 Quote
