The next 2 years they can get a lot of cap out of his salary. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/29044/ed-oliver The problem with his contract is he’s underperforming it. We have a few guys like that, epenessa, Knox, Milano, jones, Samuel, to name a few. We need more guys outperforming their contract than guys underperforming if we’re going to win this thing. 1 Quote

You need to consider a team needs players to develop and earn their next contract, instead of a revolving door. We have more players that have done that, than you mention in your post as "underperforming". Quote

Because my maths had then over the cap. Gunner, I know they say "maths" in the UK so you're forgiven for that. But do you actually keep a running tab on the Bills' salary cap? This is borderline daft (as they say in the UK) Quote

This team is riddled with early round draft busts and expensive, underperforming (or nonexistent) Free Agent signings. The roster is full of holes and there are very few (if any) true “blue chip” players outside of the alien under center. Meanwhile, the “big baller” genius GM has zero cap space because he keeps handing out big bags to his mediocre JAGs. 1 1 1 Quote

No. I was looking for something else at the weekend and just while I was around on Spotrac I happened to look and a bit of back of a packet math(s) I had them about $5m over. TE room they’re counting on a big year from Kincaid, a former RD1 pick in his 3rd year. Have a good TE2 in Knox and the best blocking TE in the recent draft. WR room they are counting on a breakout year 2 for the first pick of the 2nd round. Brought in Palmer, the analytics darling Free Agent (and the Bills are a heavy analytics team). Have Shakir in the slot. Samuel as WR4. Moore as slot depth. Shavers as WR6 and Gabe Davis rehabbing on the PS. DL added Bosa to Oliver and Rousseau. Drafted a RD2 DT, RD3 EDGE and RD4 DT. Sign Hoecht to a multi-year deal and Ogunjobi as vet rotational depth. Unfortunately they’re suspended six games. Hoecht is legit though. LB’s are a good tandem in Bernard and Milano with Williams and Thompson as depth. Taron in the slot. Benford outside with a RD1 CB we hope to get back in the field later this season. Drafted another CB late and have Tre as vet depth. Unfortunately that depth is already being tested. Safety, they love Rapp and were always going to give Bishop year 2 to prove himself like Bernard did. The depth could certainly be better.. Hancock aside, as he seems like he might be something down the line. You might not like some of these players but to say we have all these holes is not the criticism I’d levy against Beane. Lack of blue chip talent, sure. But roster holes.. nah, that’s not it. 2 1 Quote

The Bengals are “counting” on Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins. The Ravens are “counting” on Derrick Henry and their elite secondary. The Eagles are “counting” on Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, and a deadly pass rush. You and Beane are “counting” on Dalton Kincaid, Keon Coleman, and Cole Bishop. I know where I would put my money. 1 Quote

All those rings and SB appearances don’t count. Got it. "Critical thinking” — give it a try sometime. I don’t care about those other teams. I care about this team that is wasting the best years of arguably one of the best ever football players in NFL history. Kelce is one of the most overrated players in the last 15 years. Yes, he has a ton of yards and done great for catching as a TE. But he hasn't done crap for blocking as a TE. He's also been the #1 or #2 option on his team year in and year our since the few years with Hill. Sure, he will make the HOF because it's the Hall of Cool and douchebags think he's the ultimate Chad. He's a pompous over celebrated douche who is now more famous because he's engaged to a billionaire celebrity. 1 Quote

When we have one of the best, yall who want to tear down the roster before we’ve even played a game, don’t count that. Quote
