The biggest concern for the Bills going into week 1 is at CB. Opposite side of Benford was suppose to be White. With that said, with him still nursing an injury who will spell his name? Dane? Hancock? I think that the Bills may need to make a trade to solidify CB. What team would you trade with if you were Beane?
I think I’d make a trade with Chicago for their CB (JJ). I’d offer a 1st and a 2nd, if the team seems strong at every other position.

First question first: I'm guessing Ingram gets majority of boundary snaps opposite Benford, with Johnson of course inside for base nickel. For dime I'd anticipate the next guy out there being Lewis, then maybe Hancock when he's healed up. Once White and Hairston are also available, I'd assume we see less of Lewis or Ingram depending how they've played (Ingram has played some dime safety snaps and found himself around the ball). Really want Hancock to force his way onto the field early and often, and Hairston to find his confidence and flash down the stretch. Not sure if Strong even dresses most weeks. Could even see Jackson up week one, unfortunately.

Seeing that they are bringing Gabe Davis to nurse an injury on the PS, why not inquire about Asante Samuel Jr? We are devoid of good talent in the defensive backfield. Adding him would be a luxury on a 1 yr deal. Imo

On the back end why not Justin Simmons? Played with atl last year had a couple picks but it’s gotta be worth a look right? Once tre and Hairston come back I’d actually like our secondary with that lineup

My biggest concern is Christian Wilkens and Jabril Peppers will not be ready by game one.

Defense in general, but I'm concerned about WR too.  We've got Shakir and a bunch of JAGs.  No telling if Kincaid is going to show or not.

Why not?  Cause Gabe comes with Jax footing the bill and Asante wants to get paid. Pretty important context (how much they want and being on the active roster) that you’re missing.

We just drafted a 1st round corner and you want to trade a first rounder for another?  Hairston is benched for his Bills career after two weeks in camp?

That might be extreme, but we’re at “trying to win a championship” mode, not “building a future contender” mode …. Hairston likely to be a non factor this season at this point

Yeah it's definitely an extreme.

 

If you trade a 1st and a 2nd for a Corner, he's your starter for several years.  You have Benford on the other side.

So our first round pick in Hairston is on the bench for his Bills career after his first two weeks of training camp.

 

This move actually makes sense to you?
