To be fair, Bean does pretty good with the late round picks, finding quite a few diamonds in the rough. It’s the early round premium picks he normally wastes.

The ones we can't afford to waste

I think the cowboys are the winners here. GB has a solid team, but I never thought they were a parsons away from serious contention anyways.

That's a lot of money for parsons.

I think it's a bit too early to tell. It's heavily dependent on what they get out of those draft picks.

But the Packers believe they're in serious contention, and it's likely the Vikings take a step back this year. They should be competing with Detroit for the NFC West crown, and getting pressure on the QB has proven to be a game changer in the post-season.

We tried to take a swing with Von, but it he was just too old by that time. If we had the cap space, I'm sure Beane would've considered that contract too.

If they don't win a Superbowl within 4 years, I'll wholeheartedly agree.

Personally, I don't think any of these pass rushers are worth their contracts.

I’d take Chris Jones at 31M every day of the week, over Parsons at 47M.

Actualy, i’d take Chris Jones at 31M every day of the week, even if Parsons was 31M too.

(Not that Jones is available, just making a point)

Same, could just be that we see him alot but seems like he is always making an impact in the biggest spots

Just caught part of Jerruh's presser, he referenced directly the Cowboys inability to stop the run, and in particular Parsons being a great pass rusher but unable to stop the run when teams ran at him. Sounds like the Bills game broke him.

packers finished 3rd in their division going 1-5 last season...they got bigger needs imo

And several believe that Ed or Rousseau + 2 1sts AND paying him 47M aav is too steep of a price for an elite pass rusher who happens to be a liability against the run.

I'm not a fan of this, 47M/yr which is QB money, a pro bowl type player and 2 #1s. If the Bills traded Oliver, 2 1s and paid him 47M I wouldn't be happy. Parsons better be healthy and Lawrence Taylor.

You got a boatload of $ , just pay the guy, I will say it's an astronomical amount but that’s what you do for a generational talent

'generational talent?'

you think micah parsons is a generational talent?

There are several ways for Jones to “win the trade” but I don’t winning more games in 2025-2026 being one of them.  That’s my issue.  Even if the Cowboys got better “value” (maybe even post facto if Parsons gets hurt or something), this does not help them maximize the Prescott Window that they themselves constructed.  It’s just horrible team management.  And trading him to the very team that blew you out at home in the playoffs!  Unreal.

You can call anyone who’s on a path to being a first ballot hall of famer a generational talent. There aren’t many men that athletic with the production to match. Parsons is absolutely a generational talent.

I do , you don't?

He's arguably the best pass rusher in the game

He is definitely someone opposing OC’s have to design a game plan around.  There are not many of these in the league - we have none.
