buffblue Posted Friday at 02:00 AM Posted Friday at 02:00 AM So I guess the Packers are the favorites to win the Super Bowl then? Parsons is the second coming of Lawrence Taylor I've been told Quote

They're in the perfect position to make this move - a) they're already a playoff team and b) they believe they have their QB. This is a completely different scenario than the Mack trade which was to a 4-12 team with Trubisky under center. Completely different. It's a gutsy move, they are pushing their whole stack to the center of the table - this is as "all-in" as it gets. It could push them over the top to a championship or it could blow up in their faces. Either way it's going to be fascinating to watch. I don’t know how it could blow up in their face. They have made the playoffs the last two seasons. Even if Micah isn’t great there, do we think they will go 2-15? I don’t. They will compete for a playoff game regardless. Quote

julian Posted Friday at 02:08 AM Posted Friday at 02:08 AM If the Cowboys have a top 10 pick next year they will now have the ammo to move into the 1 spot to get Arch Manning. They have to hope the Titans have the worst record in football this year, if they do then the Titans will 100% move outta that spot to get extra 1st round pick(s) and only have to slide down a few spots, Titans took Cam Ward this year so they could cash in on the Manning golden ticket. 1 Quote

I don't think it's a good comparison at all, at least not against quality teams or in high stakes games. He's a bit of a one dimensional player who fades as the season wears on and competition increases. Taylor was a true game wrecker. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have Parsons on the Bills, but not at that price - and we're much closer to a Super Bowl than Green Bay imo 1 Quote

Parsons isn't Taylor yet but his ability to beat you in different ways with his freak athleticism makes me think he can at least come close. Quote

If it gives me that advantage and a chance to win a superbowl then I take it every time. Understood. If GB wins a Lombardi, nobody cares how much was spent to get there. 1 Quote

They devoted a ton of draft capital and cap space to him. There's a big difference between being a wildcard team that gets bounced in the 1st round and competing for a title. He has to be the man. No idea where the 2-15 talk is coming from. Quote

There’s gonna be expectations, and we’ll see if they can live up to them, but I don’t know where “blowing up in their face” exists. They are a solid team with a good QB and good HC, with or without Micah, and that’s good enough for about 90% of their success no matter what Micah does. Quote

If he can learn to take care of the football, he will be an MVP candidate 1 Quote
Delete_Delete_Delete Posted Friday at 03:03 AM Posted Friday at 03:03 AM Why does the city of Dallas hate generational talent? First they basically give Luka to the Lakers, and now the most profitable franchise in the history of the sport can’t retain their own star players? It’s honestly amazing the Cowboys make the post season as often as they do for being one of the most poorly run franchises in the league. 1 Quote
NickelCity Posted Friday at 03:16 AM Posted Friday at 03:16 AM (edited) I kind of like it for Green Bay more than for us. Don't get me wrong I'd like Parsons, but he moves the needle a lot more for them than for us. Potentially worth the higher risk? I'd also much rather live in Wisconsin than Dallas.
