Of course it's gimmicky...it's a gimmick to get you to but more merch.  I've already seen posts on social media where people are complaining that the jerseys, etc. aren't available until September 10th.

Yeah I think a standing red Buffalo is too plain and boring. Sue me. Standing Buffalo look is big on history...small on visual appeal.

I thought it was a Lions uniform at first, but I'm not going to get all emotional about it. Agree that it's bad for a snow game.
