Lost Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's essentially the same team as last year. If they can perform at the same level then theoretically they should get back to the AFCCG Reasons for optimism. -Keon looks like he might make a second year leap after his great camp. -Matt Milano is healthy to start the season and is playing well. Reasons for concern -Rookies unlikely to make much of an impact this year allowing other teams to gain ground. -Cole Bishop is still a big question mark going into the season. -It's still the same team that hasn't beaten the Chiefs in the playoffs. LEBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think Torber is going to be a much improved special teams coach. I think our turnover differential will go down from the +24 from last year. But if we can improve the starting field position we gave up (average of the 31 which was bottom 5 in the league), we should be to increase the amount of drives opponents have that end in no points due to downs. Goin Breakdown Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm always hopeful, yet I don't see any big changes that made me feel this was this year. Just have to hope the free agents and draft picks meet the standard that has been set by previous years, and that Coleman and Kincaid can take the next step. Quote
Captain_Quint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think as always under McD, we have a solid team and roster for the most part. Alot of it comes down to who gets injured and when. Not just the Bills, but the rest of the league. By week 4, there will be multiple superstars on IR all over the league. I can't say that we are better or worse than last year until we get going. kitchen sink Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think Michael Hoeht, Joey Bosa and Joshua Palmer might pop more than we think, but for me the optimism is that they did not overreact and blow things up. Instead they addresses the areas of most concern. I also like the way they are stacking the practice squad with player like Poyer and Phillips, who can player-coach younger players and be there for break glass in case of emergency situations for a game of two. Psautcsk Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago (edited) Same amount of optimism as every year this decade. I am not optimistic about week one, however. A healthy Milano has a lot to do with my optimism. Edited 50 minutes ago by Psautcsk Quote
DaVinci Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Optimism- Josh Allen will be improved and offense will be good. Pessimism- Bosa will last 4 games, Milano 5 and Bishop 6. Tre comes back and blows out his knee. Hairston will tear his LCL. These are worse case scenarios and grounded on past data but the defense could be depleted by 3/4 mark. Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago (edited) Nothing has necessarily changed drastically, and that is reason for my optimism. Because we still have Josh Allen. Edited 40 minutes ago by Johnnycage46 1 Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago Reasons for optimism - Allen, the great RB room, healthy Milano, T Johnson, Kincaid, Bosa and clear improvement from Coleman. I mentioned this when Coleman was drafted, but he is size and speed wise very similar to Tee Higgins and Michael Pittman who were drafted at the top of the 2020 draft’s 2nd rd. Higgins year 1 - 67/108 908 6TDs, year 2 74/110 1091 6 TDs Pittman year 1 - 40/61 503 1 TD, year 2 88/129 1082 6 TDs Coleman year 1 - 29/57 556 4 TDs, year 2 ???? I wouldn’t be all surprised if Coleman doubles his targets. If that happens, he could easily get to 1000 yards. Remember, he average 19 yards per catch last season. 2 Quote

How does rookies not making an impact differ with the Bills from the other 31 teams? The only reason the rookies don't make as bigger impact because the starters are better than most of the other teams in the league so yes a team like the Saints will start their rookies so by Dec they may be better than the Bills. But not as good as the Bills starters Quote
