I havent figured out if DaQuan Jones cut saves us money... but if it does.. he would be my pick... followed by Carter... not sure Shavers is a surprise...

I just can't see the Bills cutting Jones myself.

He is really the only true 1 tech on this team

I read somewhere last night that releasing Jones would free up 5.5-6 million in cap space.

DeWayne Carter would not really be a surprise at this point.  The real question is whether another team liked him in the draft and jumps, or if we can just put him on the practice squad.

Elijah Moore is probably less than a 50/50 shot to make the roster, and I think some people might be surprised.  He's got athletic talent, but it can't seem to translate onto the football field.

Longshot chance one of the vet tackles.  DaQuan Jones or Larry Ogunjobi.  Simply for the money savings.  Then again, this staff does seem to like veteran leadership and that room is incredibly young.

If Tyrell Shavers somehow gets cut, I'm never watching preseason again.  It would be a sign the coaching staff has already made up its mind regardless of what happens in the games.

The bills have way too many defensive linemen. You’re going to see some surprises

I can see them trading one of them similar to the year we moved Marshall Newhouse and Russ Bodine. Maybe we move Carter for a CB like Clark Phillips III

Toss out Larry O and bring in Jordan Phillips to give yourself a veteran prescence.

Are we trying to win games or save money? The Bills have no else like Daquan Jones.

Jones did not impress me last year. He is replacement level. Go young, save money with same results.

If we had a young NT/1 tech I can agree with this but fact is we don't. Logue is a candidate but don't think anyone call him starting material.

It’s more nuanced than that. We’d save $5.5M this season but have a $3.7M hit next year. That’s due to contract structure and him being a post 6/1 cut.

I do not think it’s realistic though. He’s the only true 0/1 tech on the roster.

Buffalo Joe or Larry Ogunjobi

Is there any reason to cut Ogunjobi now as opposed to after week 6, when he would count against the 53-man roster?

As good as the rooks have looked you usually need some old man strength to play that position.

I’ve got this sneaking suspicion that they’re going to trade Shavers and continue the front office’s inability to make sound decisions when it comes to WRs.

I voted Carter as I do not consider Elijah Moore a surprise.

Elijah Moore would be a surprise, especially with Shakir's injury.

Do you think 1 drop makes someone a cut candidate? Why would you think he'll be cut? I keep seeing that Shavers made the team so Moore is going to get cut but they do not play the same position.

So cutting or trading a 27 year old undrafted guy that had a good pre-season would show inability to make sound decisions?

I feel like moving a guy like that and getting draft capital is the exact opposite... how many of those guys who shine in pre-season at 27 end up being contributors?

I mean you can cut oganjobi... he would save money against the cap... but that still creates a log jam... Carter... tough to cut a 2nd yr 3rd rd pick but distinct possibility, DaQuan Jones was slipping last year... you save apparently 5.5mm against the cap by cutting him...  I guess we are gonna find out...
