That teams has gobs of talent by far the most talented team in the AFC and they can’t break through the Chiefs either Harbaugh has to be on a thin string to have not got more juice from that team. It's a travesty they get embarrassed by KC every year and never push us over. Quote
Lost Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Wait, the Bills signed Jordan Phillips 2 days ago and now released him? 😄 Quote

He was signed to allow him to start working out etc. at the team facilities prior to creation of the Practice Squad post-cuts. 1 Quote

Not sure why they couldn't just sign him to PS later. I don't think there is a cap advantage to do this, but maybe there is. Quote

HappyDays Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Only real surprise to me is that they kept 6 WRs. The last time they did that it was for Andre Roberts who was as much a WR as Brandon Codrington is a CB. I'm thinking Elijah Moore may be a mainstay on the gameday inactive list as the last WR on the depth chart and no special teams contribution. I think he'll be here as Samuel and Shakir's backup. 2 Quote

Just weird because the rumors going around were that he was going to make the 53 and Dewayne Carter was getting axed. Quote

HappyDays Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Also worth noting that Tre White is NOT on IR so now we know the injury is not long term. Doesn't mean for sure he'll be ready for week 1 though. We'll see. 2 Quote
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I'm a little surprised that they kept both Shavers and Moore. I know theyre very different players Quote
RyanC883 Posted August 26 Posted August 26 almost put Forrest in my "suprise cut" list. Really suprised he got cut, but didn't watch much this preseason. We are REALLY thin in the secondary. Quote

I'd imagine they'll add Dane Jackson to the Practice Squad and if he's not ready by Week 1 or 2, they'll call him up to go alongside Christian Benford, Ja'Marcus Ingram, and Dorian Strong. Quote
NeverOutNick Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Man I wish someone could’ve beat out Hamlin or Lewis not to mention why did Dwayne Carter or Curtis Samuel stay on the squad when they’ve done absolutely nothing. 1 Quote

Our backups aren't world-beaters, but backups rarely are. 1 Quote

Johnson, Ingram, Lewis, Hancock, and to a degree Bishop can each contribute in multiple roles. 2 Quote

The room is Bishop, Hamlin, Hancock and Rapp. The first 3 are #3's, not starters. And one of them will be starting with Rapp. Hancock has some potential, but is a rookie. Bishop has not shown anything in real games. Just too many ???. Quote

We are REALLY thin in the secondary. Not even a little bit of a surprise. We brought back everyone from last year's Safety room. Jordan Hancock showed a quick aptitude for Safety. And Hamlin's contract was fully guaranteed. Cutting him would result in a 750k loss in general Cap and 2 million in Dead Cap. Plus, regardless of how fans feel about him, McDermott trusts him. Forrest was a longshot to begin with. When they Drafted Hancock and started playing him at Safety, it was all over. 1 Quote

I mean, I really am not upset Forrest is gone, just figured another vet back there. Quote
