We will need a lot of luck (again) and help from the officials (again) to beat Ravens this time. Fingers crossed! I'm not sure about this. Jackson is probably a better duel threat. His running is off the charts and he's come a long way as a passer. Got to give him credit for that. The guy is phenomenal. But he doesn't play the QB position as well as Allen and Josh isn't a slouch when it comes to running the ball either. Allen/Jackson is a "push" in my view. The big difference here is that Allen has to face the Ravens defense. Jackson gets to face ours. The King has been probably the best RB of his generation. But Cook is a top 5-8 back and is still improving. Henry has without a doubt been the better back...but he is 31 and has absorbed a lot of punishment in his career. He can only stiff arm Father Time for so long. Henry HAS been the better back in the past but will he still be in the year 2025? Remains to be seen. 3 2 Quote

I agree with @JerseyBills that it will be a great test for the entire team. The injuries and lack of camp time for what seems like 85% of the starters just doesn't give me a ton of confidence. But man, it's going to be an incredible way to start the season - probably the best in years after the Rams opener a few back. Also, the Ravens keep Allen in check in most of the games. They kept him to 127 yards in 22 attempts in the playoffs. He has 180 yards in the regular season om 29 attempts I want this game to be a Jimbo game. Run him and run him hard. 2 Quote
Jamie Nails Posted August 30 Posted August 30 When is the next practice? This Benford stuff felt like it was nothing, now it’s getting concerning. 1 Quote

Jackson and Harbaugh are 0-2 in week 1 road primetime games. The Bills have lost one home week 1 game with McDermott/Josh (non-primetime). Week 1 of the last year of Highmark and being a night game should give a nice edge for the Bills which is why they are favored by Vegas in the game. You're soothing my nerves. Maybe I'll watch the game after all. 1 Quote

Benford hasn’t played a game in 8 months. If he’s still suffering concussion symptoms…I don’t even want think about it. 1 1 Quote
eball Posted August 30 Posted August 30 When did the Ravens become the ‘85 Bears? To read this board the Bills are overmatched and don’t even have a chance unless “the refs help us.” Good grief. How many Super Bowls has Baltimore been to with Lamar? Why doesn’t Harbaugh get the same grief McD gets when he hasn’t done diddly since 2013 with these great rosters? 2 1 Quote

Same bedwetters we heard from in January, even though the Bills were favored in that game too… 3 Quote

Maybe someone else has the data to the opposite, but I feel like Jackson still struggles to throw outside the numbers. Everything is in the middle of the field and I think it’s one of the reasons why he struggles against playoff defenses. Josh is a superior passer, unfortunately this Ravens defensive backfield is loaded and this game might come down to Cook vs Henry. Quote
JaCrispy Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Ravens 35 Bills 24 Too many injuries or suspensions, to key players, early on. And our promising rookie class still has to “learn the ropes”. 1 1 1 Quote

Get a grip. 1 Quote
Rockinon Posted August 30 Posted August 30 The Ravens are coming into our house in primetime on opening night. We have MVP Allen, a great OL and an improved DL. The Bills also beat this team the last time they played in the playoffs. Yet the majority of posts sound like we have little chance of winning this game. This is no gimme game for the Ravens. Far from it. The Ravens have to develop a game plan to beat the Bills. That's no easy undertaking. They then have to execute that game plan. Also no easy undertaking. This game is going to have a playoff feel to it and Lamar Jackson has a very bad habit of choking in the big games. Not buying the revenge angle or the Jackson/Henry > Allen/Cook angle, or the angle that the Ravens top to bottom are more talented. The winner dictates who is the best team nothing else. At the end of the game we'll know. All the pregame talk I'm hearing is nauseating. Where's the good vibes the home opener usually brings? 3 1 Quote

Derrick Henry will NOT be that "near 2000 yards RB" from last season. He's gonna be 31 years old. Every single player falls off in production somewhere. I think this is the year where he slips. Yeah, he'll have some great games, but nowhere near elite level of years prior. Quote

Get a grip. Nope injury list as of now looks fine. I mean they don't need to publish one either. Cant say we haven't been banged up. Safeties haven't had a lot of time together. Same with some of LBs. CBs have been banged up. Where's Benford? Samuel has been banged up and hasn't practiced much. Got suspensions and the list goes on. Im sure It's going to be a tough game regardless. Quote

It is also proof that he puts a lot into building the defense. The 2025 Ravens have a lot more to prove than the Bills. It will be an amazing adventure for them.
