I think that’s part of Hard Knocks. I don’t think he is that involved regularly.

He's the owner. That's what he gets to do. It doesnt seem too intrusive, and he certainly doesnt try to make or even influence decisions that much.

 

There is a balance for owners. Less is more, but you still need to be present a little bit.

It's also from the same clip they used last week, just different part of the discussion. So what was a 10min conversation at St John Fisher has been chopped up to look like he's around more.

My grandparents era, cancer was extremely rare , it's just crazy to me

 

They just didn't test for it like we do today so people lived with it for decades, so that's part of it.

 

But in general the environment is far more toxic, the food is much worse in terms of how it's grown and processed, and pesticides and plastics are causing havoc from before we are even born.

 

Also people are deathly afraid of the sun and sun blocking constantly so most are extremely low in Vitamin D, which is your body's immune modulator that controls your entire immune system and is not really a vitamin at all, but a pro-hormone.

 

So all in all, honestly surprising more people don't have it.

This is why they dont put good teams on Hard Knocks. Not much interesting going on. Kinda like this board during the drought years vs when things have been good - a lot less to talk about nowadays.

The dysfunctional teams are for more interesting to watch, since the drama is built into their dysfunction, but I enjoy my team’s content. Probably wouldn’t watch if it was another successful team like the Chiefs of the Ravens.

Outside of Hamlin hard core and casual NFL fans don’t know these guys.  It’s not a yawn to them come on now!  
 

Plus they’re recording while they’re away from their homes.  
 

More “interesting” content includes spouses and kids which had to be limited up to now.

It's tough for a show like this to be super illuminating in a world of constant up-to-date news and coverage from social media. You just already kind of know everything about the team.

 

I do wish there was less fluff and more positional camp-battle stuff, but McDermott would never allow that kind of access, so what can you do?
