twoandfourteen Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Josh Allen turns 30 in May. With the way he plays, it’s possible that he only has three “prime” seasons left. Beane continues to whiff on the first two rounds in the draft. For years, he has poured money and resources into a defensive line that is among the league’s worst, and he has yet to add any true elite, gamebreaking talent to the roster. McDermott is supposed to be a “defensive genius”. However, the defense was historically bad last season. His defenses have failed over and over again in “big boy” games. Unless Uncle Terry makes a change, these two are going to have been gifted the entire career of arguably the most talented QB to ever take an NFL snap — with zero Super Bowl appearances to show for it. Would that be a bigger failure than four straight Super Bowl losses? 2 1 2 Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This thread will end well. I voted for the four consecutive Super Bowl losses. So let me now throw some gas on this soon-to-be garbage bin fire.... I noticed you did NOT use the word "led" to describe our current team which is truly "led" by a great leader in Josh Allen. Josh Allen is a leader of men. No team led by Josh Allen would ever be nicknamed The Bickering Bills. His teammates all would run through a wall for Josh Allen. Why? Josh is humble to the core of his being. Josh is not boastful. Josh Allen wanted to come to Buffalo. Josh Allen lives clean. Here comes the gas... It may be just me however doing blow and visiting discos/bars with your teammates on the week leading up to playing a Super Bowl game is NOT the leadership a NFL QB should exhibit. I sympathize with his medical condition however he is one crappy human being. Quote
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No question that if they were to go Allen's entire career without a Superbowl appearance that would be the bigger failure. It should be inconceivable but here we are. Quote

Wolfgang Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago Focusing on the Super Bowl to the extent that you cannot appreciate the journey as a fan is pretty sad... There is way to much luck/bad luck that goes into the game for me to really worry about that anymore... Every year, thanks to Josh Allen primarily, this team is exciting to watch... After the 90s, then the drought years, and now the Beane years, I just enjoy and appreciate what we have... Nothing lasts forever... Even with a Super Bowl victory, people will still find something to be upset about... As long as they make the playoffs and aren't one and done, I'm a happy guy... 1 1 Quote
BananaB Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago Josh has played so good in playoffs it’s kind of embarrassing that they haven’t been to the Super Bowl. Says alot about the system McD is running on defense and some of the HC blunders that he’s made in crucial times. 1 Quote

No, championships do last forever, which is why they are so important and why people care about them so much. It sounds like your ultimate goal is simply the division title, and anything beyond that is just a bonus. However, for others, the ultimate goal is the Lombardi Trophy. Quote

Just give me the needle Epstein allegedly went with the hanging. What would your choice be? I am impartial to lethal injection if that was an option. Firing Squad is old school and has its appeal. NOT a fan of frying. AND I understand you crap your pants for both of the options you listed -- with one die with fresh crap in your briefs and one you die with fried crap in your undies. I ASSume you wanted to have this in depth discussion on execution methods. Good Morning Everyone!!! Have a lovely sunny happy day!!! Edited 12 minutes ago by HIT BY SPIKES 1 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 17 minutes ago Posted 17 minutes ago I think the biggest failure is not winning more with this guy steering the ship Quote

Listen, the Super Bowl for the Bills is not my identity... Sure, winning it all is the goal, but if you can't enjoy the season without winning the big one, well, that's not my problem... The NFL is entertainment... The Josh Allen era is the best entertainment I've experienced as a Bills fan... I am positive that even if they won the Super Bowl, there would be endless crying about how they won... Quote
