What are the qualifiers? He was working out at the Bills practice facility the last few weeks. Looked to be in better shape than some other players that were also there working out. He was doing some stuff with TJ Sanders(not signed so possible he wouldn’t have passed either) and looked to be in great shape, strong and moving well.

I call BS on the qualifiers thing. How would a former Jets assistant GM know Jackson's specific situation? I bet he was just saying that such a situation was not uncommon, not that it was specifically the case with Jackson.

Bumped into Joey Bosa in the locker room and they both got injured.

I believe Kevin Kolb’s autographed mat was involved 🤔

Hopefully not another rubber mat injury.  They're so dangerous!

 Beat me to it! 🤣

We should keep track of overreacting posters, just so they can be properly shamed when certain formal, transactional moves are revealed to be standard, minor injury management.

Not that anyone cares about their own reputations for overreaction. Accountability is some bygone virtue.

There is no shame on any level anymore,

This is why the release or cut Trade AJ Epenesa crowd are crazy.

Joey Bosa is a walking injury waiting to happen. Michael Hoecht won't be eligible to play until Week 8. And now Landon Jackson is on PUP.

AJE shouldn't be thought of being moved until at least Hoecht comes back, so long as everyone else stays healthy.

Great, now AJ is our "break in case of emergency" option.

Wonderful 🙄

Always liked AJE.  Think he gets a bad wrap.  this is his year.

He doesn't get a bad wrap. He is what he is. A very mediocre 2nd round pass rusher who in the regular season tops off around 6 sacks. And I'm being generous ignoring his first 2 seasons. AJ has played in 12 playoff games as a Bill and has ZERO sacks. It's highly doubtful he's on the roster this time next year. He just didn't pan out.

I will say it's paramount that Jackson can out perform the numbers AJ put up in his first 2 seasons. I realize that's not a very high bar.  We have yet to hit on a great pass rusher since 2018. If we want to win a Lombardi we gotta put #15 down.  Josh can guarantee you 30 pts every playoff game v KC, but it doesn't mean we're winning.

He is a process guy and will return to the team when he has no other options, and our depth is lacking.

Thanks for the update. I see news from the neck injury back in November 2024, but no indication he ever had surgery. In fact it's probably unlikely he had surgery and was at mini camp if the injury was just this past November.

Thanks.  The real concern is how this happens at one of these camps and what's that going to mean for him at the NFL level?  Here's a synopsis of his injury history:

Video of the injury from November:

Is this guy really going to hold up at this level?  It wasn't some crazy hit by an oversized RB.  He didn't miss a game and they write the hospital visit off as being extra precautious, but come on.  His "neck pain" situation had to be severe enough to take him to the ER.

It gives them the flexibility to sit him down longer if need be and bring another body in. Who the body is remains to be seen.

Thats pretty sneaky

No wonder you are the one to point to that solution !

If true it's actually semi genius

The most important aspect of this “news” is the part that says the Bills expect him to be ready for practice next week.  Until that doesn’t happen, most of this thread is pretty pointless.

Oh my dear ! Hardly !!
These are The Best types of threads this time of year.

  I awash with suspense even.

 We need answers. Not conjecture.

He is a quality depth player, though. Don't want him as a starter, but he can rotate in and make some plays.
