Thanks for that.

I had forgotten how good Jim Kelly was. I never compare him to Josh, that would just be a wrong thing to do.

I noticed there wasn't a post-game handshake between Levy and Shula. I guess it wasn't a thing back then.

In Jim Kelly’s book Armed and Dangerous, Kelly said that Shula left the field in tears.

Been watching a few old clips of Bills SB years and I agree. We are spoiled with Josh but Kelly was no slouch

It was a 4pm game wasn’t it?  12 years old and parents made me go collect paper route money for Olean Times Herald. I remember watching that play through screen door of one of patrons on the route. Pretty sure I got a good tip after Kelly went in.

the back pedal drop back is something.

Go Bills.

This is where Jim Kelly and Chris Burkett started to have their rift and was one of the contributing factors in coining the “Bickering Bills” of 1989.

Jim Donovan was the man as a play by play guy. RIP

With former Fish Jimmy Cefalo on color...I'm sure he was none too pleased.   Sorry, not sorry.

Bills clock management was awful and Dolphins were equally inept with passing on that 3rd and 8 with Bills having no Timeout. Odoms play amazing and set up by a great pressure from Conan. So great. Go Bills.

Yes, there were several opportunities to spike the ball and conserve some time...but it worked out perfectly.

Game was in September and we had the windows open. Our neighbors did too. Their daughter who was maybe 10-12 was outside playing. Our houses were maybe 40 ft apart. She told us afterward that she could hear her parents, us, and others in the neighborhood screaming.

Me too same age and all riding bikes in the neighborhood cause the bills played horrible. At my friend's house we watched that drive.  Never forget it

Josh Allen is my favorite player but I will never slander a Hall of famer like Kelly

Especially in a different era with different rules

Kelly was phenomenal.. he was tall and strong in the pocket.. classic high release,  oozed arm strength... Hits his back foot ball is out

He did have pocket maneuverability

Remember in a AFC with Warren Moon and John elway and Dan Marino.. he may not have had the best statistics but he was the big dog

Nobody wanted to see him down three and he had the ball with 2 minutes left.. because he was ice
