Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago The better question is, "How much would you bet as an emotional hedge if your team were in the Super Bowl?" Probably $2,000. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Lol, I threw out $500k and thought people would think it was crazy. The more I think, and read y’all, it’s higher. It would have to be a number that changed the way I lived. $500K would lower my mortgage payments and add some nice vacations. It would allievate some financial stress and shave a couple of years off the back end of my career if invested well. It wouldn’t change my day-to-day. If I’m going to commit to the Bills never winning a Super Bowl in my lifetime, my life would need to improve significantly with the amount of money I’d be getting. Yeah, the guaranteeing that theyll never win in my lifetime is a big one. Would have to be above my "magic number" of $10M. Enough to change my lifestyle to a point where I dont care about or even watch football anymore. So probably closer to $100M. 1 Quote

I mean, you would have to have this as a condition, wouldn't you? Without it you're basically asking how much is your fandom worth because, realistically, if you knew they weren't ever going to win one, would you still watch? The unpredictability of the outcome (no matter how much the NFL tries to eff that up) is a big part of the lure. Quote

For sure, Like many others I have dedicated a very large part of my life as a passionate Bills fan and given majority or my life that's already been put into it. I was thinking about it other day and was hard to believe it's been 40 years I've been a Bills fan. I know there are many with much longer, but being a Bills fan is not for the weak. 1 Quote

If you can’t remember, you don’t need to commit. You get to experience the heartache forever blissfully unaware you sold it. Come to think of it, some Bills fan probably already took the money in 1963 1 2 Quote
BUFFALOBART Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 3 hours ago, Kirby Jackson said: This post got me thinking, “what’s the right number that it would take in exchange for a Bills Super Bowl?” Obviously, $500 isn’t the answer. The champagne I’d pop after a Super Bowl would exceed that. What’s your number? I’m thinking like $500K would be my number. That might be insane and it might not be high enough. That number is big enough to matter but not big enough to stop working or drastically change the day-to-day. I figure that this is an interesting place for this discussion because the people spending time here, in June, REALLY care about the Bills. EDIT: To be clear, you either get _____ dollars and the Bills do not win one in your lifetime OR they are guaranteed a championship this year. You can't put a price on something that would bring you, great joy. Quote
co_springs_billsfan Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Tough to nail down as everyone is in a different stage of life and financial decisions. I'd need to be able to retire, and I just turned 40 in May. Probably 2M? Quote

And truly love the bills I just want them to see a championship before they go I want it for my mom and dad more than myself and I do want it My parents met at a random super bowl a long time ago and I think that's fate Yeah, my dad always said he'd like to live to see the Bills win a Superbowl. Fast forward and I'm one year younger than when he passed away and I'm asking the same question. Will I live to see it? Edited 22 hours ago by gregmo 1 Quote
stlbills13 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago This is dumb but I may need $50M. I'm talking never work again, dream house/location, kids are financially set, etc. Quote

But he'll also be watching it with van Miller and Ralph! Quote
thenorthremembers Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 500 dollars isnt jack. Give me that Super Bowl win. If Satan met me out at the Crossroads and wanted me to trade a Super Bowl victory for cash he better bring a lot more than 500 bones. I better be able to send every kid to college and retire. 1 Quote

I actually have the Bills logo tattoo on the back of my neck and just recently got "one before I die" right underneath it across top of my back shoulder blade to shoulder blade. Anyone that's a football fan knows exactly what it's about when they see it... I'm starting to see it on shirts and stuff now quite often that you can buy Edited 22 hours ago by Patrick Duffy Quote
Chicken Boo Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago If the question is, "What's your price?" I need to know the full details. Would accepting the money mean that the Bills would never win the Super Bowl in my lifetime? I'd pass on $500 without blinking. Quote

Don Otreply Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago $500.00 or a Super Bowl? Super Bowl every time, Now if you’re talking real money, and I’m thinking six figures at minimum, then, I’m thinking, Sorry Bills but a man gotta do what he gotta do…, GO BILLS!!! Quote

julian Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I wouldn’t take 500 over a Tiger Cat Grey Cup… 500 or a SB ? lol I’m poor as sh*t and that’s a laughable proposition. Quote
