I know a guy, about 20 years ago he had Sunday Ticket through DTV, not sure if he's still a subscriber. But his living room, he had one of those big (at the time) 50" or so projection TVs. On both sides he had 27" TVs. And on top of the projection TV cabinet, a couple of 20" TVs. So he could/would, be watching up to 5 games at once if he wanted. Did I mention he was a bachelor?

Peacock has Tour de France 2025 exclusively for the US. Plenty of people, including me, have it just to watch the TdF. Now I can also use it for some NFL games.

I am from Buffalo, but I live in Atlanta now.  But I will tell ya, the older I get, the more I miss it.  
 

I really enjoyed growing up in Buffalo, and I really think my kids would have loved it too.

 

That said, now that I know I can buy it standalone, I will gladly pay the extra $100.  I never miss a game.

Exactly.   The original tweet made a mountain of a mole hill.

• Since I live in the Bills' "territory", I get to see every Bills game via OTA stations without an antenna because I have cable.
• ESPN is included in my cable tier.  My cable system (Spectrum) also offers NFL Red Zone on a sports tier which provides TD plays from every game live or within minutes for a monthly fee.  I start it before the first week of the regular season and end the subscription when NFL Red Zone finishes for the season ... 5 months max.
• Several other services have monthly plans, including Netflix.  Depending on the schedule, you might only need to subscribe for 2 or 3 months. 
• I subscribe yearly to Peacock because it's so cheap, and I get to watch the Tour de France live.   
• I use Amazon Prime's free shipping (and free returns) so often that my savings on shipping pay for the subscription.

Of course, someone intent on watching every NFL game live (I personally don't believe that's actually possible for a person to do) probably doesn't have many other interests.

 

Besides, it's physically impossible for a person to watch every minute of every single NFL game live even if the technology is there to do so.  Even with split screens or multiple tvs, you can't divide your attention equally every minute to all the games, so you're going to miss something.   NFL Red Zone (available from my cable company on s sports tier for about $10/month for 3 or 4 months max) works well, plus NFLN has replays of many games.

20 years ago it was more expensive in real dollars to watch every NFL game. The only way to do that was to subscribe to DirecTV, which forced you into 12 or 24 month contracts to get a reasonable price, then they’d take a Sunday ticket price on top of that. Paying for TV for an entire year when you only want to watch sept - Jan was robbery.

 

when ESPn flagship launches this year, the biggest part of this bill is now gone (YTTV), since you don’t need a huge channel package just to watch the few MNF games that aren’t simulcast on ABC. This means 2025 will be the cheapest it has ever been to watch every NFL game.

Your app definitely does not have a distribution license in the USA for all of that content. It’s definitely not legal, but I don’t think you paying them is illegal; they are the ones committing the crime. So the worst that happens to you if the app goes poof one day and you gotta pay YouTube/espn/amazon/nbc/Netflix like all the rest of us…

So is that why they pay federal, state, and local taxes, and are a registered LLC, describing exactly the service I described?

I'm waiting for them to offer a $100 discount like they have the past two years.  If they don't not sure I will bother with ST as think I counted at least 9 games are either at night, or 4:25 start carried across the country.  One week I will be in Myrtle Beach and can go to the Anchor Bar location there to watch.  Was down there last year on the Monday night they played Jax.  Place was full of Bills fans.  Good chance a couple other games may be carried by local CBS station.  I watch a handful of other games, but mostly just for the Bills so without the discount might not bother.  For the handful of games left, there's other ways to watch.

It costs as little as $40 to register an LLC…people do this all the time for BS companies. It does nothing to legitimize what they are doing, the rights holders have to bring the violation to a court.
