2025 OTAs are underway

Everyone is in attendance except James Cook.

 

Joey Bosa will not participate for the foreseeable Spring, pulled his calf. 
 

McD feels it’s a real compliment to being selected for Hard Knocks. Despite no official release from the team about their participation, it looks like Coach is embracing it.

Joey Bosa is made of Papier-mâché. I dunno why this guy can't stay healthy but it's probably a good thing that we only gave him a 1 year contract. On the positive side, drafting Landon Jackson and signing Hoecht helps me not feel too bad about this. Landon can spend the first 6 weeks developing as much as possible and we get Hoecht back after week 6 so hopefully Bosa is able to contribute for us when we need him to, but this tempers my expectation for him a bit.

Ugh sucks about Bosa. Hopefully it's just precautionary. I don't need to see too much of him on the field before January.

Better yet just should have showed off some naked pictures from last year and this year so we can see if he’s still skinny

I didn't realize they never even confirmed it.  Lol.  McDermott would probably sacrifice his left hand if it meant not doing Hard Knocks.

The Greg Rousseau comments are a bit odd.  Did someone ask him what Greg needs to improve upon, or was that just offered up out of the blue>?

I subscribe to texts from Matt Parrino, he sends out updates throughout OTAs and training camp. It's worth the $5 per month. His first update today is that early defensive standouts in team drills were TJ Sanders and Landson Jackson. So that's a promising start. Sanders in particular I am really excited about. The more I watch of him the more I think his skill set will really translate to the NFL.

Second update is that Elijah Moore made a lot of plays today and caught a TD from Josh Allen. Parrino also said Tre White did not have a good day, giving up that TD to Moore and another to Samuel.

 

You can read between the lines on these reports to see what the depth chart looks like early. From this we can conclude that Moore is in with the 1st team offense and White is in with the 1st team defense, and least some of the time.
