Considering how many coaching & QB changes teams make in 5 years or more, the stat Matt uses is one of the dumbest things I've heard.  Currently there are only 4 of these QB/HC combos in the league, 5 if you count the years Love was on the bench at GB.  KC & LA won the SB in their QBs 1st 3 seasons, the others haven't.  The odds of a starting QB/HC being together that long are so low-only 12.5% of the league has a combo that have been together 5 seasons or more before this season starts.  Considering the natural odds of winning the Super Bowl are 1 in 32, this stat is beyond meaningless.  Matt Parrino ought to be ashamed.

Edit: I mentioned LAR.  I fixed the stats when I realized Stafford/McVay have had only 4 seasons, but didn't fix the next sentence. So of the 4 QB/HC combos, only Mahomes/Reid have won a SB together.

Yes . but i got a great reaction didn't it 😋

On Hairston:

Quote

To begin the second week of practices, the Bills decided to put a bit more on his plate during team drills. There were several times throughout the day during 11-on-11s when Hairston lined up against a receiver who will likely be a core contributor to the offense in 2025. His most noteworthy reps came against Keon Coleman, the team’s top pick in 2024. Hairston served up his highlight of the day, where both quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and Coleman tried to get Hairston to bite on a double move. Hairston stuck to his keys, got himself turned around and stuck with Coleman in his hip pocket, and then got his hand up to get a piece of the pass for a breakup. A few reps later, Coleman got the better of Hairston and had a step on the rookie as Coleman dragged across the field to complete the catch. Hairston had a day of positives and negatives, but there is talent there.

All throughout the day, it was noticeable how much attention the Bills’ coaching staff gave Hairston, varying from praise to constructive criticism depending on the previous play. There was one point in the session when Hairston made a mistake. The coaches made him aware of the mistake, and the rookie was hard on himself for making the error. Just a few seconds later, veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White came up to Hairston, likely giving him a bit of encouragement in helping him get through the error. Regardless of that brief moment, all of the attention the Bills are giving to him likely isn’t by accident, and naturally tends to go to players people believe can become an important player down the line. Mixed with his natural talents, if Hairston gets things ironed out from a scheme and technique standpoint, he is a potential long-term starter with speed the Bills have never had at cornerback under Sean McDermott. Some of his teammates think it’s a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ for Hairston, which also bodes well for his future.

What makes you think McGovern is top 5? Not challenging you, just genuinely curious. I had him as a slightly above-average player.

Really?

Did you not notice the O-line this past season?

I like that Coleman is getting better and Mad Max is learning how the NFL works.  Both of them consistently improving is huge for us.

I REALLY like what I'm hearing on Coleman and his route running.

Imo, Parrino is the worst Bills podcaster. So damn full of himself yet obviously wasn’t good in any sport. The dweeb who became a sportscaster out of spite.

Are we really glossing over the fact that Josh Allen, QB and League MVP, is not at voluntary OTAs? C’mon OBD, I thought we were better than this! 😈

He and his wife and Michael B Jordan have all gone on a lovely honeymoon……

I noticed the tackles. The interior seemed competent to me, but not stellar.

Glossing over it is being better.
