eball Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Friggin' Travis Jason Kelce was there lobbying for the play. Ridiculous. It's not a football play and hopefully it's out next year. Edited 4 hours ago by eball 1 11 4 2 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Hopefully the Bills start running this play with Knox or Kincaid under center. 1 Quote

Doc Brown Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This is good for us as it would've banned pushing the ball carrier which is what are o-line loves to do on a run play. Eagles can stop crying now too. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think it should stay. Just because one team does it better than anyone else isn't a reason to get rid of it. Funniest part is the pushing of the tush isn't even the key to its success and is mostly irrelevant to whether the play succeeds or not. Its what happens up front and what your QB does that determines if its likely to succeed or not, and THAT is what the Eagles are better than everyone else at. 1 4 Quote

Conlan58 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I'm glad it didn't get banned. That'd be like the Bills pushing to have the forward pass banned because Brady spanked them for 20 plus years straight with it... 1 1 Quote

davefan66 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If you want to stop the tush push, stop it with your defense and not rules changes. Funny part is when they line up, it’s obvious what they are going to do. If your defense isn’t prepared enough to stop it, it’s on them. Not a fan of the play. More interested in stopping the pushing and pulling downfield to gain yardage. Find that to be more of a BS play when guys basically carry the guy with the ball. Quote

A player should not receive assistance (pulling or pushing) from a teammate to gain yardage -- PERIOD. It's a stupid play and should have never been allowed. Edited 3 hours ago by eball 1 1 2 Quote
muppy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) well. our Bills use that play with success. so I'm not going to have a problem with the NFL ruling to keep it. is it cheating? No. I don't think so. just my opinion. so Im not mad it stays. Edited 4 hours ago by muppy Quote

Bills couldn’t stop them, it was on our team and they failed. Funny when people were up in arms when they’d run up the score throughout their games…stop them. Simple. 2 minutes ago, eball said: A player should not receive assistance from a teammate to gain yardage -- PERIOD. It's a stupid play and should have never been allowed. Am I a fan of the play? Not really. Again, feel the pulling and carrying the guy down the field is less of a football play. Surprised it was upheld. It really is a cheap play. Edited 4 hours ago by davefan66 Quote

It's not a football play and hopefully it's out next year. It is in fact a football play. 11 players on offense line up against 11 players on defense. Offense snaps the ball and defense tries to stop the play. It's on the defensive coordinators to figure out a way to stop it. Remember the wildcat? That was unstoppable until defensive coordinators figured out a way to stop it. Hell, the Chiefs stuffed our attempts multiple times. I don't think it will last much longer as defenses start to finally figure it out. 1 Quote
wjag Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good. It wasn't just the push that was going away. The pull too. I can still see Dion pulling Cook forward on that one play last year. Quote
