I remember listening about giant Harold Carmichael tearing us up in a meaningless game.  I remember that more clearly than most of the games from that era I actually attended. I still remember sitting in the living room listening to the home games on my little transistor radio. Then, anxiously waiting until the next Saturday afternoon to watch “Buffalo Bills Highlights” on Channel 7 to see the game from the weekend before. It was the only way for me to know what the game even looked like. And…it was free! 

I remember that they would play popular music over the highlights; I specifically remember The Beatles “Lady Madonna” being played.  Weird how certain memories just stick like that.
