SoonerBillsFan Posted May 7 Posted May 7 If this is true, it's not good. He needs more mass than he has played with, not less. Quote
RyanC883 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 (edited) Really bad pick. Either the FO really panicking picked, or Dalton has not worked hard enough. Being optimistic…perhaps he is just a guy who does not put on muscle when lifting/getting stronger. Edited May 7 by RyanC883 Quote
BigDingus Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Our QB looks more like a TE than our actual TE does... That being said, everyone said he'd be a huge weapon in the slot! But they forgot, most of what we have are guys who would be good in the slot 😆 Quote

Seems like the OP is not impressed with length, but instead prefers a tight end with a little more girth. 1 Quote

Being optimistic…perhaps he is just a guy who does not put on muscle when lifting/getting stronger. After his successful rookie season I fully expected Kincaid to hit the weight room and come back for his sophomore campaign with more muscle and functional strength. It didn’t happen last year and it looks like it didn’t happen again this year. Maybe he’s content with being an NFL player and just doesn’t put in offseason work. Josh and Beane have both commented about how Keon has come back bigger and stronger. I’ve never heard these things about Dalton and he’s already an older player as it is. Cant use youth as an excuse. Jimmy Harris 69 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Kincaid had a chance to change the narrative of his career on fourth down against the Chiefs. His failure in that pivotal moment was further proof he is not the unicorn the Bills traded for. I don’t believe in the kid anymore, whatever he weighs. The Bills haven’t successfully schemed him into a big play slot or a down field threat. Zach Davidson gives us the same threat on the field at a lower price. I wouldn’t care if we flipped Kincaid for 4th round pick or some other under achiever. 1 Quote

Not four months. This'n. Plus, you put on five pounds on a guy his size and it's just not obvious. At this point, he might be having problems, or he might be right on schedule. Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I wouldn’t worry about it. He’s been hurt pretty much both seasons. I’d like to see what he can do with a healthy one. It’s hard to tell if he’s at the same weight or lighter. This feels like the overreaction to Dion Dawkins massive manboobs last year. Yeah he looked sloppy but it doesn’t affect his play on the field. Kincaid, I hope, will be fine. Quote

To be fair, Travis Kelce has never been a weight room guy either. But he's a little bigger and more athletic naturally, and obviously just better. So bad comparison except when you look at physique. Kelce is built like a Serbian basketball star. Quote

He caught the pass, the first down marker was right there. Dalton was soft, and got stopped just short of 1st down marker. Dalton is finesse Looked like he had it. Dove for the first down while being tackled. Don’t see the weak correlation. D players get paid to tackle. Again, the guy was playing with an injury because he’s mentally tough and a team player. You don’t him or his style of play. Let’s revisit at the end of the year. He like other players on the team need to improve. Quote

FieldGeneral Posted May 7 Posted May 7 At least the strength coach and nutritionists are doing their jobs keeping up with his progress. Quote

In this last year he had a BRUTAL drop on that 4th down in the playoffs and an abysmal 58% catch rate in the regular season. Quote

It's a QB and receiver and defender and wind stat. QB misses you by 20 yards, or throws it short right to the DB and your catch rate goes down. It isn't a WR stat. Agreed that was a bad drop in the playoffs. But everybody drops some, and he dropped that because he lost his footing, which was very likely partly due to his injury. He still should have caught it. But everybody has some drops. Kincaid few. He has excellent hands. 1 Quote

Just off the top of my head, he had what should’ve been a drop in the Broncos game (Bills rushed to the line of scrimmage and got the play off), had a first down drop in the Baltimore game that went through his hands as he slid, had another contested drop in the same game, and had the crucial drop in the AFC Championship. For someone who supposedly had the best hands in the draft, he wasn’t nearly as sure handed as I’d expect from someone with that billing. 1 1 1 Quote
