Gregg Posted Thursday at 01:57 PM Posted Thursday at 01:57 PM (edited) Can't narrow it down to just one song. There are so many great songs out there. I can narrow it down to one concert Cornell, Barton Hall 5/8/77. Highlighted by Scarlet/Fire. Edited Thursday at 01:58 PM by Gregg 2 1 1 Quote
gdabillsfan Posted Thursday at 11:13 PM Posted Thursday at 11:13 PM I never had a favorite song until this past February 5th, when I wrote this song for my wife who had passed away the day before. It was supposed to be a sad country song (at least that's how it sounded in my head). Now full disclosure, I am not any kind of musician or singer, so I had to use an AI program to provide the musical talent. So anyway, this is how it turned out https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=XViTSIRpak4&si=gdVEFygnBD2OLvy6 2 1 Quote

sherpa Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM (edited) Not a popular choice, but I would go with "Starry Starry Night," from Don McLean. Crafty references to Van Goghs's work. Just a tremendously written song, For pure listening, I'd go with "Boys of Summer" from Don Henley. Edited Thursday at 11:58 PM by sherpa Quote

This was exactly the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread, but then didn't go with it because I'll never be able to justify how Money slots into the one song theory. Quote

I thought the same thing but thought of the last words on the album... "But the sun is eclipsed by the moon" ... And decided why not, it all ties in. 👍 Quote
US Egg Posted Friday at 02:17 PM Posted Friday at 02:17 PM Selecting one song strikes me as choosing the one knowing the end is nigh: Quote
BuffaloBill Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is hard because at what point do you begin to hate what keeps playing? I would almost say that an instrumental only piece might be better than never ending lyrics. having said this, Phil Collins with in the air tonight might be it. Quote
