All of this to protect the feelings a spoiled rich kid that did everything he could to fall down the draft order. Will they fine Cam Ward for telling Shedeur to buzz off? Im a bit incredulous how much 'the shield' and their media sycophants are bending over backwards for Sanders. It sure is going to be zany if he turns out to play like most other 5th round QBs the fine isn't for the phone call, the fine is for the number being discovered by someone unauthorized to have it 1 Quote

Do you recognize the difference between league employees and non employees? I'm sure the league won't fine Ward as there is no reason to. Quote

It sure would be odd if they just invented this rule and punishment because Shedeur's feelings were bruised Quote

transient Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Daaayyyyuuuummmmnnn. That kid is soooo grounded. I did a lot of stupid things in my "yute," many things that were a lot worse than a prank call, but nothing that ever cost my parents 6.25% of a year's salary. Gonna be slim pickens for Christmas and birthdays for a while for ol' Jax. He's lucky he didn't cost pops his job... Quote

What I recognize is the rank hypocrisy that the NFL has never once fined anybody for this happening before until their golden child Shedeur Sanders and his 3 ring circus got pranked. Will the league take unprecedented action every time Sanders faces some minor adversity? Do they think this will endear him/them to NFL fans? 1 Quote
H2o Posted April 30 Posted April 30 You know, if the kid and his idiot friends had just exercised better judgment, and had not posted the video, who knows if they even get caught. May still have, but can't say for certain. The social media age and lack of common sense strikes again. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I think the Falcons organization should be docked a pick as well next year. Maybe a 6th rounder Quote

An NFL employee was responsible, that's why the fine. Is not that complicated, but you obviously have this hatred for Sanders that makes it impossible for you to understand. 2 Quote

Surely you're not just white knighting our poor put upon Shedeur? 1 Quote
Virgil Posted April 30 Posted April 30 100k fine for the dad and 250k fine for the team. Wow, there's going to be some uncomfortable conversations with that kid at home. Dad has been leathering up his belt all day... 2 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Thinking about this more, this penalty seems really harsh. The kid saw sanders’ phone number on a screen at dad’s house, I think? That’s not really being that careless with confidential info. It’s not like the coach sent Sanders’s SS number out to a bunch of people. Quote

chongli Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Whenever I see a doctor, they or the nurse log out of the of the computer whenever they leave the room, even if the meeting with the patient is still going on. I guess team officials should too now after this fiasco. 🤷♀️ Quote

I think it would be different if it was in a public place or something like that. 1 Quote
