Gregg Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Cook needs to get the ball at minimum 25 times a game combined rushing and receiving. He has been the best player on offense this year and that includes 17. He is the only threat they have who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field. 2 Quote

Cook really has a knack for using his lack of size to squeeze into and out of crevices and seams. Greg Olsen is really growing on me as a commentator. 1 hour ago, H2o said: I wish they'd use him more in the passing game, but Cook is killing it right now. 16 minutes ago, zow2 said: I know people are like Leave Cook out there,.. but he should be spelled a bit. There's just no way he will be 100% healthy come playoff time if Davis and Ty continue to be so unproductive. 8 minutes ago, Andrew Son said: We also need to find a way to keep him fresh for the postseason. I want to see him more in the passing game, but...there is the load management portion. We don't need him to be at his best now, but in the playoffs. I keep thinking about how much he has improved. He, obviously did not look this good in his first few seasons. He looked good last year, but not this great. I love how quick he looks in and out of cuts. I thought his contract was a bit of a bargain considering his production last year. He has way out performed that contract. Side note - I love the pitches he was getting yesterday. There were times you could see the run was going to work before the ball was snapped. 1 Quote

Big Turk Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Cook is leading the NFL in YPG at 107.6 and YPC at 6.0...both slightly ahead of Jonathan Taylor who has played an extra game. Cook is heading into best RB in the NFL conversation territory quickly. Quote

The problem is the playoffs are no guarantee. The Bills are in a fight for the division. Along with the Pats the Broncos, and Colts are looking really good. KC always in the mix. When the Ravens get healthy then I expect they will go on a run and might even win their division. The Steelers have their flaws, but record wise they are still in the hunt for the division/WC. I understand that Cook needs rest once in a while, but the Bills might need him to carry a heavy workload just to get into the playoffs. Edited 3 hours ago by Gregg Quote

The Bills have the 2nd highest playoff probability in the AFC right now at 86%, 2nd only to the Colts 96% and higher than the Patriots 84%. 1 minute ago, Andrew Son said: What is not being talked about enough is that our run blocking is incredible. Check out Gilliam on that long TD run They said Cook had something like 164 yards of his 216 before any contact yesterday which is astounding. I want to say Olsen said it was the most ever in a game since NextGen Stats began keeping track in 2017. 2 Quote
Magox Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If he had signed for $15M a year he still would have been underpaid relative to his true worth to this team. 1 Quote

I don’t agree that James Cook is the best player on offense but I do think that his delta from his performance and a league average performance is maybe 2-3 wins at this point. And there’s no one else sans Josh that is even close to that. He is as single-handedly winning games as any running back can be. He is the only other dude with juice on the team.
