I think the Chiefs would like to strike gold again like they did with Tyreek Hill. They clearly value speed... probably more than any other NFL team.

Tyreek Hill. 4.29

Kadarius Toney 4.37

Hollywood Brown 4.27

Xavier Worthy 4.21

Despite their attempts, they've yet to replace Hill. Toney isn't in the league right now, Hollywood is an oft-injured journeyman and Worthy so far, is following in Hollywood's footsteps. Interestingly for all of their speed, their career yards per catch numbers are quite pedestrian.

Toney   9.3 ypc

Brown   11.6 ypc

Worthy   10.8 ypc

Regardless, one gets the feeling that the Chiefs will keep swinging for the fences until they find that fast, effective receiver that they covet so much.

I love speed as much as the next guy but I respect the Bills for not getting lured into a sexy pick like Worthy or the other Xavier that Carolina took... that so many people here wanted the Bills to draft.

Is this thread going to reappear every time one or the other gets injured?

….only until the end of time. That’s my guess.

At least amongst the unhappy folks on either side.

I don’t even see Wallace in the league. Couldn’t find him on the jags roster.

Wallace is not on any NFL roster according to Pro-Football Reference.  He may be on a practice squad.

Coleman had a 70% contested catch rate in college. It was the reason he was drafted. Obviously the guy isn't going to outrun many in the NFL.  If we're hoping that he develops into a route runner, McConkey or Pearsal would have been a better choice.

Last year he was charted at 36% rate. After week 1?

Yes, I'm happy he had a good game, but he's not doing what he was drafted to do, which is catch the ball when he (and everyone else) is covered. I'm just tired of watching balls bounce off this guy, especially in the redzone where Josh is guaranteed to give Coleman a shot at a 50/50 ball.

He's young. He has time.

What I'm excited to see him do more... 0m32s, 1m21s, 1m37s, 4m47s (TD), 6m49s, 7m16s (jumpball TD).

What I’m excited for is more 8/110/1 td games. Could care less what type of routes he’s running/catches he’s making

That 2pat he has his jersey ripped off his shoulder pad. Yes, it was after the catch but it should have been obvious Wiggins hand was around Coleman's collar to begin with to do that.

And it was a misplaced throw.  Keon jumped when the ball flashed expecting it to be high.  Proper ball placement there is a score,

In fairness to the “other Xavier,” he’s out playing with maybe the worst QB in the league on maybe the worst team in the league.

his story is not over imo

The only thing better than catching the ball when you (and everyone else) is covered, is catching the ball when you’ve made yourself uncovered.

Cook isn’t doing what he was drafted to do, either, which was to play situationally as a pass receiving back out of the backfield.   Allen was drafted to be a franchise quarterbAck and he’s entered the conversation as among the best to play his position.   I’m none too happy with Hawes, who was drafted to be a blocking tight end.    Don’t even get me started on Brown, Benford and Bernard.

How much of that came late in the game when the ravens stupidly played prevent.

You mean in the most important part of the game when they needed him desperately to make an epic comeback?

How does this change the fact that the Ravens started playing off giving easier completions? The ravens stupidly thought it was garbage time and the Bills took advantage. Lots of players put up good stats at the end of games when the opposing team is up big. Most of the time because teams play off to prevent a big play.

I wonder if Harbaugh is catching holy hell the way McD would after blowing a lead in such fashion. Or does his ring get him some slack all these years later? Some look at HC’s with a ring in a different light. I prefer to look at the present and the future over the past once you have learned your lessons.

He is absolutely catching tons of flak.

He catches flak for every playoff defeat and disappointing season they have had since Lamar became an MVP.
