Traded our 2nd next year to move up in the second. Yes, there is an UGA bias. I've seen these players enough to feel comfortable with my evaluation on them. Guess a lot of folks don't like or are blase about Mitchell. I like this draft, all the same.

Another trade-back draft

It's super dangerous to trade back out of the 1st with the intent to then pick a WR who might get nabbed in the 9-pick vacuum created by the move back...

It's a weird spot to be in right now. Wish they weren't so transparent with their early draft needs.

Is a prospect like Nubin worthy of that late 3rd rd compensatory value?

Not to mention, is Troy Franklin worthy of that late 1st rd value? Most analysts say NO! I guess if Franklin works out to be a dude, then no one will care that he was taken at the end of the 1st instead of the 2nd rd...but, then again: maximizing draft value is in fact super essential to long term roster building in the NFL.

Love the above draft but with minor concern over how #28 is spent. (Kinda think OBD is somewhat-aligned with this valuation of Franklin tbh.)

Traded:  60, 2025 3rd for 42

I would have selected these players in a different order, but the mock simulator ranks Legette lower so he was the most likely to still be on the board after pick 39

Just ran this one. Not sure about everyone else, but I would be pretty content if it fell like this. I moved back one time in the 4th.

The more I see from Walker, the more I like.
Him, Polk, McMillan & Burton seem like decent guys to get if they go a different direction from WR early or choose to pick up a second guy at that position.

BUF

29. Adonai Mitchell WR Texas -the no brainer of no brainers.

73. Kris Jenkins DT Michigan - the DT corps begins its rebuild.

83. Dadrion Taylor-Demerson S Texas Tech Good athlete and smart.

99. Brandon Coleman OG TCU - 3 year left tackle but will play guard.  I thought he looked good at the Senior Bowl.  Long arms and big hands.  He can always fill in at tackle in a pinch.

128. Javon Baker WR UCF - a good addition to the WR corps, not as fast as Mitchell but can get open deep and over the middle.  Would go higher in most other years.

133. Mohamed Kamara EDGE Colorado State A fire plug who works angles, runs a 4.5 and had great production in college.

144. Gabe Hall DT Baylor - I just like the way he was getting around people in Senior Bowl practices. I see him moving to DT in passing situations.  Or.. He could be a tweener  We'll find out

160. Khristian Boyd DT Nothern Iowa - The Bills have had visits with him  About the size of Daquan Jones

163. Trey Taylor S Air Force  My true sleeper.  Jim Thorpe award winner, 3 year starter, did pretty good at his pro day  Smart

204. Myles Cole EDGE Texas Tech a true project, someone just needs to figure out how to use him

*traded  down one pick to the Lions and gave them 200 in. They gave me 29 and 73. No idea why they did, but Ill take it.

**traded 60 and neext year's 6th for 83 and 99,

Traded back one pick in the 1st and still got crazy DE value. Then used late 2nd I'd acquired in trade-back with next year's 3rd to get back in at 50 to grab Legette before he's gone. Plus Jenkins at 60? Those are all difference makers, ideally. The RB, at least one of the S picks, and the IOL all should provide immediate rotational depth. I'd have preferred to grab a 2nd WR prospect, but alas.

The glaring weakness in this draft is the lack of edge players. It is the weakest position in the draft, but ideally, you'd take a few mid to late round shots. I traded back to pick up a third, and then I decided to see what you could do if you wanted an X receiver of sufficient stature, and a fella that could replace Diggs. I like McConkey, but you could replace him with Franklin if so inclined. Then Benson was sitting there at #60, and I decided to annoy the D crowd by taking a really dynamic RB (which will also annoy the "don't take a RB early crowd.")

Trading out of both 28 and 60 to yield 4 top-100 picks and a #2 next year, and let the board dictate the value. Legette at 51, great a true X. Opted for Tez over Bishop since both Bullock and Bishop were on the board, leaving plan B at 88. Maason Smith is a boom/bust proposition. From there we're looking for either a scheme fit (the corners) or explosive athletes (the rest). Theo Johnson at 160 was just irresistable. Would like both DT's to force themself on the roster but would settle for one. Would have liked to address OT a little higher but it's top heavy, and maybe edge but there's bigger problems to address first and every day 3 DE is a project anyway...
