I don't know what you paid to get #14, but I suspect it was too much. And you held onto #28? Something illegal is involved.

I traded back from #60 in order to acquire two day 2 picks. This is perhaps more realistic.

I could have AD Mitchell at 28 but I figured since we got Thomas, why not add "oh *****, he's on the field, he's on the field". I mean he easily takes 2 players out of the play, the guy who's pooping himself thinking Thomas train, and the safety thinking about what he's gonna tell the coach "see what had happened was "

I threw out the assumption that #1 receiver is not worth a reach, and let the draft fall (nfldraftbuzz). There's guys on the board I know would never be there in the positions taken (Guerendo, Cole) but you gotta work with whatcha got.

PICK: 28 RND: 1 (BUF)   Chop ROBINSON   DE-EDGE Penn State

>   Crazy athlete might be a Parsons-lite chess piece as best, and makes up for Von at worst.

*** TRADE *** #60 for #62 & #113

>   Value was too good to turn down.

PICK: 62 RND: 2 (BUF)   Kiran AMEGADJIE   OT Yale

>   Long-armed light-footed project for either side at a premium position.

PICK: 113 RND: 4 (BUF)   Cole BISHOP   S Utah

>   Smart and rangy, need Hyde's heir apparent at some point.

PICK: 128 RND: 4 (BUF)   Johnny WILSON   WR Florida State

>   Big and huge (6'7" 237). Who cares if he doesn't get separation at that size.

PICK: 134 RND: 4 (BUF)   Isaac GUERENDO   RB Louisville

>   Home run threat (4.33) on any given touch is too much value here to pass.

PICK: 144 RND: 5 (BUF)   Jarrian JONES   CB Florida State

>   Should be a scheme fit, exceptional recovery speed.

PICK: 160 RND: 5 (BUF)   Luke MCCAFFREY   WR Rice

>   Might be too similar to Shakir as a short-armed technician?

PICK: 163 RND: 5 (BUF)   Tanor BORTOLINI   C Wisconsin

>   Developmental center with elite movement traits.

PICK: 189 RND: 6 (BUF)   Jordan JEFFERSON   DT LSU

>   Probably better suited for 3T than 1T but crazy athleticism and a wrestling background.

PICK: 200 RND: 6 (BUF)   Ro TORRENCE   CB Arizona State

>   Long corner, but not really long speed. Maybe a big slot or someone to use against bigger WRs or TEs.

PICK: 204 RND: 6 (BUF)   Myles COLE   DE-EDGE Texas Tech

>   The Bills seem to like these big edges, Cole has Grootish length and is a RAS monster.

PICK: 248 RND: 7 (BUF)   Tyler OWENS   S Texas Tech

>   Another traits guy with size and especially speed, limited college reps.

This is the second time I've traded up to 22 for EDGE Jared Verse (my #1 non-WR prospect in this entire draft).

Also grabbed a top WR, reunited Verse with Fiske on the DL, and rounded out the draft with picks at positions of need (and a TE that I think is a sleeper pick).

If Vaki is there at 200 I take him  every time.  I have gone every which way at 28.  Im the most happy with Worthy at 28.  After the top 3 wrs and Thomas Jr I think Worthy was the most consistent producer in college over his career.  His speed allows him to line up anywhere including X.  I really like how he will stress defenses.  Also, I think he pairs well with a double dip in the 4th.  Rice, Baker or Thrash imo will be available they have the body type lost by Davis but smooth operators in the intermediate.

With the doubling-up at both DL positions, it's possible the Bills would be exposing one pick of each to waivers (if they can't find a path to IR/redshirt rookie season)...and to be fair, I'm okay with it being an all-out competition at DT and DE for spots 3-4, or 4-5, depending on final allotment. Most likely at least one of those four DL picks is NOT going to be on the Bills 2024 roster. Again, not the end of the world.

Increasing the chances of finding at least one guy by potentially finding too many guys? Sign me up as long as you're addressing these other needs with quality players (like I see here).
