All we know is that Trump has been indicted in connection to a crime that somebody else has already gone to jail over. Seems logical that the guy directing the crime would be in legal jeopardy. As for the appropriateness of the specific charges, that’ll have to wait until we actually see them. Given that there are apparently more than 30 counts, this may be a bit bigger than just the Stormy stuff (this office was also handling the Trump Company tax cheating case).
